Bruce Campbell Strikes!

Bruce_campbell If you're like me, you feel like it's worth sitting through an ad for moisturizer (or something) to see an interview with Bruce Campbell for his new show.  It's not horror directly, but anything he touches is worth our notice, I think. He's just  meant so much to us, I want to follow him wherever he goes.

I don't mean when he goes to moisturize (or something), I mean just seeing him on screen just makes me happy.

Are there any other actors like that from our genre of choice.  Like, you would sit through a Western just to see them?  Malcolm McDowell maybe?

Here's Bruce's (entertaining! well maintained) personal site.  Like you don't have it bookmarked already (or something).

The actor I'm about to mention is nowhere near Bruce Campbell's icon status... yet. But Thomas Jane has been an actor I've been following a lot over the last few years. And recently he's made the jump to our beloved genre with a whole slew of things from acting roles (The Mist) to even some writing and directing. And anybody that's pals with Steve Niles is cool with me, too.

Bruce Campbell is just one of those guys that you want to be like. I can't wait to get my hands on "My Name Is Bruce". It just screams cult classic.

I've been hearing rumors over the last few weeks that Bruce Campbell wants nothing to do with "Bubba Nosferatu". Is there any truth to this? If he doesn't return to the Sebastian role, I can't see myself wanting to see it. Kind of like in the "Elm Street" films when New Line tried to replace Patricia Arquette (Kristen in Dream Warriors) with Tuesday Knight (as the new Kristen in The Dream Master). Granted, Tuesday Knight was nice to look at, but she was not Kristen Parker to me. Not now! Not ever!
