You Want Flies With That?

There's a cool quote about horror movies I'm butchering here that says, "A mass beheading is far less effective than a single finger caught in a doorhinge."

So, I wasn't going to post about it, but lunch is coming up and I can't stop thinking about the movie I saw last night.

It's a nasty piece of work, and it's called Feed.

The plot centers around a cop from Down Under who investigates a guy who feeds women to death.  The feeders and eaters are American (of course), we love our burgers.

So, the thing that got to me wasn't the gore effects (and there are a few), but just the quick shot of the feeder putting a funnel in the woman's mouth.

I totally gagged.  It totally got to me.  What little things get to you?

If I have an injury somewhere - like my leg - and any damage happens to someone on screen I feel my own injury worse!

You reference a line from the fantastic pinball game: Monster Bash! You are a wily referencer!

In the glitzy "Bram Stoker's Dracula," there's a scene with the vampire watching young Mr. Harker shaving. When the young klutz gives himself a razor cut Drac, with a flourish, snatches away the blade and, behind Harker's back, licks the blood off. That's always made me squeamish. Tongues and razors. Even when Steve Martin is shown shaving his tongue with a bic razor in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, I thought it was funny and yet I averted my eyes.
