Season 5 -- Sinking Like the Titanic

Who would think that the three worst, most badly written, and empty episodes would appear in the series 5th season?!? Have the writers lost it? Are they trying to do too much? Or, have they bitten off more than they can chew? (too many story lines?)

The characters have completely lost their "charm" -- a word not in vogue much anymore when attitude seems to rule what we see and how characters are drawn out. But Peggy WAS charming. Bert. Even Don had a sense of quiet charm about him. Freddie Rumsen? Charming. Pete!!! Used to be a like-able putz. Ken was utterly charming and who was more charming than Sal? Or that secretary who had a crush on him? What a doll.

All gone.

End the series now.

Thoughts?
