FIghting Weight?

Isn't it strange that both Joan and Betty are being counseled by older women (Betty by Mama Francis and Joan by Mama Gail) who are giving them advice masked as a snarky comment. Oh and did anyone else notice the cut to Megan easily getting into her dress - no little hands to help. I can't help but remember the "My Kentucky Home" episode - then again Henry (I still don' t follow his motivation to pursue a pregnant Betty am I the only one?). Plus Sally helping her mom with a zipper and her "I look like a whale comment". Sally and Betty sharing ice cream sunday reminded me of the Arrangements episode when Sally and Grandpa Gene were eating ice cream out of the box..
