Join the Quote Game, Volume 46
Looks like the regulars got sort of busy this afternoon to push Volume .45 over the magic 1000 post mark.
This volume of The Quote Game is dedicated in honor of the Curtiss C-46 "Commando", referred to by Army Air Force pilots flying "The Hump" over the Himalayas from India to China to keep Chiang Kai-Shek's Nationalist forces fighting the Japanese.
The C-46 received the nickname "Dumbo", after Disney's famous animated elephant, because although it could carry substantially more cargo than the Douglas DC-3, it was ill-handling and often mechanically unreliable. It also had a pudgy double-lobe fuselage that made it look a little like Dumbo.
It's that time!!
33 days until the season premiere, and I cannot wait! Seems like forever. Predictions??
For all you 'Mad' lovers of Mad Men. . .
I have a short survey I would love any of you guys to take part in. It's a very short survey, with short answers only requested. And it is all for the value of my college education too :) It's basically on the characters of Peggy,Joan and Betty.
So if you are in any way keen please email your interest to this address: lovelylynz@gmail.com. Then i will forward the survey to you to complete.
I would be so so grateful to you. Thank you so much in advance.

What are your predictions for season five?
I just finished watching the Tomorrow-land episode and so far I realized that Don was actually in love with Meagan, for that week at least. Meagan is the most submissive woman on this show. All the women at the agency hate her and Betty is starting to feel a new level of loneliness and the move to another city might not make her happy. What do you think will happen next?
"The Best of Everything"
I am so enjoying the movies on TCM. Today I watched "The Best of Everything". It's from 1969 and about three girls who work at a publishing company in NYC. From the first scene, all i could think of was Mad Men. The office looked so much like Sterling Cooper and the antics of the men were very familiar. I think Don and Betty talked about this movie in season 1. She was talking about Suzy Parker and Joan Crawford's eyebrows. Did anybody see this movie. The parallels with Mad Men are hard to miss.
Join The Quote Game, Volume .45
This iteration of The Quote Game is initiated in honor of John Moses Browning and the .45 caliber M1911/M1911A pistol; the design for the pistol celebrated its centennial in 2011.
Famed in the film "Sergeant York", where Gary Cooper plays the legendary Alvin Cullum York of Tennessee as York single-handedly captures an entire company of German infantrymen.
