Roger Sterling

What the hell is wrong with him? I just don't understand what he wants in life. I'm beyond confused at why he married Jane. I can understand if he left his wife for Joan, he actually cares about her but he married Jane; a girl he doesn't even like. Why? And how is it that Mona seems so okay with it? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to know people's opinion about him. He makes me wonder.
