Apparently, I have upset the avatar gods and i cannot restore my picture. i suppose that is what i get for trying to change it --- perhaps i can get back in the good graces of the all powerful AMC webmaster (or more appropriately for the Mad Men board...webmistress) in some way- a sacrifice maybe??? shall i throw my mad men season three poster (i won it this winter .... it was a major awaaaaard.) into a volcano? well maybe my fireplace, since there are no volcanos in Jersey.

Retracing - I remember trying to log on one very early a.m. while the site was undergoing 'maintenance and updates" and since that day I have been a grey dude ...

...it turned blue and went to live in Hollywood....not very funny, I know. (The movie that's out now)

I had the same problem, j9mac, when I tried a few weeks ago to change my screen name to "SCD&Pfan" and couldn't log in or anything....I ended up just going back to my old standby and forgetting about it....not worth the hassle, is it, to try to do any "updates"?

I finally e-mailed Lily to please just fix it so that I could return to my original....it finally started to let me log in....

At least you're not fickle, like me! I went from "Gidget" (Sandra Dee/Alexandra Zuck (!!)...see why she changed it?) to Colleen Corby (back and forth for months) then to Natalie...think I'll keep her for awhile...that is such a haunting image of her....I would put a pic of me, but, alas, I am also tech challenged to a degree.

I've even considered an av of Sally Rand, as per your long-ago suggestion (word play on the "fan" bit), but think I'll just stick with Natalie awhile....
