hamm and buble
thought jon hamm did a great job last night - as expected! the sen. scott brown skit was my fav! so JH, if you don't mind , let us hold our pork infused champagne glasses high and toast to another job well done :-) oink oink

Very funny video from Saturday Night Live about a meeting with Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Frank , and Byrd.
Scott Brown (played by John Hamm of Mad Men) keeps interrupting the meeting

Ditto j9mac! JH did a great job on SNL! Not only is he a dramatic actor but does an amazing job "Hamming" it up on SNL! Great job!
I actually liked all the skits that he did, but do think my favorite was the Scott Brown skit, the Hamm and Buble skit, and as Sergio the sexy sax player!! He even looks good with long hair! When does he ever look bad!?
Take care all Maddicts!
I'm chiming in, too....sooooo funny.
He does have that sexy wink thing down pat, doesn't he??
Robert Byrd's "flapper" fantasy.....!
It was all hilarious....go Jon....you are one versatile guy!
so true SCfan - jon in a flapper's dress - priceless and he does look good with Michael Bolten hair jeffe64 ;-)
uh ohhhh - i hear the wind blowing - better get my kids off to bed before you know who shows up!
I agree, Jon Hamm has amazing comedic timing! He really made the snl episode one of the best in a long time. My fav was the monologue, where he played Don Draper in a Saved by the Bell-type show and says sternly "Lower your voice" and tells the QVC lady "Calm down!" Sergio was a riot, too. What can't this man do?!?!
I agree with everyone's opinion.....SNL should ask Hamm to join the cast, his skits were funnier than any I've seen on that program for a long time. I only tuned in to the show to see Hamm, as for the last few years nothing much is worth watching, except for the opening political skits.
So often the guest stars are bumbling through the contrived skits, so obviously unable to shed their egos for the sake of comedy. I was amazed at how easily Jon Hamm dove right in and made a fool of himself for the sake of the show.
True true true, guys....I remember Lucille Ball's writers saying they never had to worry about her refusing to do anything they wrote....she was game for it all....and it showed, didn't it? She was so funny....of course, that was an "ensemble" cast before the term existed.
I think Jon Hamm's being so sure of himself and his "what the hell" attitude show, too....game for anything that will get a laugh. I hope he comes on SNL every year...at least twice! And, tam, I'd love it if he'd join SNL's cast, too....as long as it didn't interfere with his MM work! (I never watch it til JH was on, either....except for January Jones' hosting stint....wish they'd had funnier skits for her! not fair)
P.S. Did anyone else think Fred Armisen (Mr. Peggy) had baaaaaad legs? He was so funny as Barney Frank and Melissa (?) whatever-the-last-name-was court steno....."It's not my fault, it's the machine...." I sure hope "she" never loses her crackers again....heee
hey tamtam - let's not use the word fool and jon hamm in the same sentence together - i prefer to say jon truly committed himself to the role ;-)
Hey j9mac-Love your new avatar!!! When I saw that from SNL ...it is almost mesmerizing!! His eyes....Good choice.
Still thought your other one (am assuming it was of you and your cute little one) was sweet!!
Anyway..recently changed mine to a 1964 photo ofAubrey Heburn and her sweet little yorkie dog . Hope Mad Men starts off season 4 in "64...sooo much to cover!!!
Take care all!
I am sooo embarrassed...I meant to type the beautiful Audrey Hepburn......I need to start checking my spelling before hitting submit...sorry guys!
me too, me too, jeffe64 - i loved the pic so much i set it as my desktop - my husband said he wasn't sure if he was happy about that. so I playfully replied, "good - you shouldn't be" - it's fun to have a celeb crush :-)
I hope Jon wins so he can go up on that stage and claim what he has earned! Year before last when he won, the show was cancelled due to the writer's strike so he had to accept his award at a private ceremony.Windows 7 Software
