What was Peggy typing?

Peggy typically uses her dictaphone when doing work. So I suspect she was typing a personal letter...resignation letter maybe? Don kept trying to see what it was, moving ever closer, but then he got distracted by the AquaNet convertible image. Peggy looked awfully uncomfortable. Thoughts?

I didn't notice Don trying to snoop or Peggy looking uncomfortable. But I have only watched the episode twice and I always miss some of the details. I assumed she was typing her own stuff because Olive wasn't there. It looked like Don and Peggy were the only Stirling-Cooper employees in the office the day of the JFK funeral.

She was typing her shopping list. No, just kidding. As the poster above mentioned, Olive was off that day like most other people, and Peggy was merely catching up with some typing. I don't think it was anything secretive and I did not notice her looking uncomfortable or Don "snooping." Are you sure you weren't imagining these things? Of course, everyone was a bit tense or somber because it was a National Day of Mourning of JFK. I don't think it was anything more than this.

Geez, maybe I'll have better luck posting a response--once.

I thought the scene made it clear that Peggy, the ever diligent ad wo"man" was changing the now inappropriate convertible shot for the ad.
Her uncomfortableness was the same as everyone else then, a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach because the President of the United States was assassinated in front of thousands and on television, and for her, even more glaring because of the task at hand with the ad.
Don, not quite grasping employee dedication could not comprehend why Peggy would be working--that is until she showed him the ad shot (of the four ppl in the convertible--just like the President's car).

Peggy was typing her resignation. It is her time.

I take that back. I only read the title and not the topic. She's typing a Dear John Letter to Duck.

Fromthestart: way to make friends. You just signed up and already you are insulting posters? Why?

user-pic

She was typing her resume. Or she was typing company secrets so she could give them to Duck.

It's her resignation letter--she and Peter are about to go over to Duck with Don is now stuck at Sterling Cooper with a three year contract. Duck will take his revenge in Season 4 for the humiliation at the end of Season 2.

Peggy did show up early for a reason.

fanofmad: Save your breath...like I should have done! I totally agree with your assessment of the angry poster who obviously came here to "shout-out" others (twisting my words around and coming up with a totally asinine meaning, merely so that they could lash out), but honestly, it's not worth addressing those who are here to bicker and disrupt the forum. They will just come back again and again, twisting words, name calling, insulting, and acting like total jerks. They like to do this.

Anyway, the other forum address on Yahoo can be found by going to the Open Thread here for episode 11 and scrolling through some of the postings. It is listed there but you'll have to look for it. I think it also is on a thread of its own. Sorry I don't remember it.

On a lighter side of things,Peggy was typing a letter to AMC to let them know that she would like to work on "Breaking Bad " in the off season.

user-pic

I thought she was just startled by Don and believed her Aquanet explanation.

It amused me that she planned to go to Bert Cooper's office to watch the funeral on TV.....Bert's office?? Remember when his office was strictly off limits to the peons??

I think this is what she was typing:

All work and no play makes Peggy a dull girl
All work and no play makes Peggy a dull girl
All work and no play makes Peggy a dull girl

@Fromthestart2: Yes, speaking of "after hours", Peggy always seems to be a permanent fixture at the office, whether it's early in the morning, late at night or weekends. It's as if she is driven to keep an edge since she has a traditional male career. Or is it that she has nothing else to do but work? Seeing Don and Peggy both at the office on what was supposed to be a day off to mourn JFK makes it appear that they both retreat into work so they can shake everything else off.
