What 4 Films Would You Present?
TCM has a monthly feature where a celebrity, or just a TCM viewer, chooses 4 films that he/she wishes to present, watch, and them sum-up w/ the audience, after the film is over. This is not necessarily the presenter's 4 FAVORITE films, nor what the presenter believes are the 4 GREATEST films ever made. This is a choice of 4 films, out of all the films ever made, that the presenter would choose to share, by presenting the films to the TCM audience. Besides the 4 films you would choose to present, what 4 films would any of the Mad Men characters choose to present?

I can think of two films right now; my favorites.
"My Dinner with Andre" and
"Mind Walk"
Both deal with the really big questions. What is life and what does it mean. For the intellectually curious they are the ultimate in my opinion.
Bert Cooper: "How to Succeed in Business without really Trying"
Roger: "The Apartment"
I'll have to think some more about the rest.
A Stolen Life (Don/Dick)
10,000 Bedrooms (Connie Hilton)
Another Country (Sal)
Singin' in the Rain (Betty)
...And God Created Woman (Joan)
Executive Suite (Bert)
Next Stop, Greenwich Village (Paul)
How to Marry a Millionaire (Jane)
Love in the Afternoon (Miss Farrell)
Love with the Proper Stranger (Peggy)
Razor's Edge (Pete)
also:
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad World
Calling Dr. Gillespie
Madame Bovary
Mad Dogs and Englishmen
I think if any of the Mad Men characters could read this forum they would choose a film like The Three Faces of Eve. It's all about a woman with multiple personalities.
Lolita
The Lover
Clockwork Orange
Mona Lisa
So many great films, but here goes. First MY personal favs:
1) Local Hero
2) The Best Years of Our Lives
3) Dr. Strangelove
4) The Apartment
Don: "Ben-Hur"
Bert: "Portrait of Jennie"
Roger: "Road to Zanzibar"
Bettes: Hah? What was the question?
Peggy: "Going My Way"
Sal: "Wizard of Oz"
Freddie Rumsen: "The Lost Weekend"
Joan: "Peyton Place"
- Local Hero
- The Quiet Man
- Ed Wood
- The Best Years of Our Lives
For the cast--
Don would present, "Bad Day at Black Rock."
Roger: "Boeing, Boeing"
Joan: "Some Like It Hot"
Peggy: "My Sister Eileen"
Bert Cooper: "The General" (Keaton)
Sal: "The Wizard of Oz."
Pete: "Sweet Smell of Success"
Bettes: Hah? Uh, what was the question??
Why is it that I post a comment, it doesn't appear, then for two days, then when I re-post, the original post appears?
WTF???
I apologize for the repitition. Though I like the choices in my second post better.
