Roger Sterling cracks me up

Hey Maddicts, Who else got a kick out of Roger's lines this week ?
1) When he says to Lane: We're old friends "we've got tea".
2) Saying "Bye Trudy" in the apartment knowing that she was listening at the door.
3) When he told Bert Cooper that Don was doing better at wooing him into the new fold.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Please post more .

He has the funniest lines on the show

Are you reading your will? I can I have your Cadillac?

Bert's lines weren't too shabby either:

"You sold your birthright to marry a trollop!"

"Do you know how to do what he does? I don't!"

"Have you washed your hands?"

"...then we'll have to lock you in a closet until Monday. I'm sure you understand."

Roger: "I was going to tell you.... no I wasn't."

Roger (when Joan is telling everyone in the hotel room where they're located as if it's a real office and she says, "Media is in the bedroom"): "Accounts gets the bed."

"So you come here because I've got a gold pork chop hanging from my neck."

Harry: "You're kidding."
Roger: "Yes, yes we are. Happy Birthday."

Not a Roger line, but here's a comedic example of how Don is learning to deal with people using psychology:

Next to last scene and Harry's sitting on the bed when Don goes in to use the bedroom phone to call Betty. Rather than "I need you to leave," (the old Don), the new Don simply says: "There's food in the other room."

Harry: "Thank goodnes!" -- and he's outta' there faster than a teen-ager.

I loves when they were all working together and Roger asked Peggy to get him some coffee and she just said no without even looking at him. I LOVE PEGGY! This was an Emmy winning worthy episode for her.

A fun episode to be sure. Roger, indeed, has the funniest line but we MUST give some credit to the comedic acting, timing, delivery of John Slattery. A total pro. Bravo.

Love that Roger!

I liked the one with him and Don drinking at the bar after recruiting Pete, "I can't believe he was going to leave." says Don.

Roger: "The little shit."

Roger has always had the best zingers....can't be denied!

Roger (as Don is about to lock up): "Don't bother" :-D

@Laurie B: I love Bert! And I felt the same way seeing them wheel out his precious Rothko. They'd better have washed their hands!

Roger and Don in the bar:

Roger: They've still got Kennedy's picture on the wall. But what are they going to do? Take it down and put up Lyndon Johnson?

Peggy to Don: "You assume I'll do whatever you say, just follow you, like some nervous poodle."

Don: "Peggy, I'm not going to beg you."

Peggy: "Beg me? You didn't even ask me!"

Don, what do women really want?
Roger, who cares!

The funniest ROGER line is no line at all...he justs sits on the couch reading a newspaper while the others are seeing to their new posts. Gotta love him.

Did Roger write a book called "Sterling's Gold", or have I just imagined this?
