I truly don't think I'm the best choice, z....anyone of those I mentioned above would be great. I have way too much of a tendency to go off topic and ramble....let's face it. I'm the first to admit that.

Just got news from the SCDP Yahoo site about the turn of events going on here. Well, this is long overdue I must say. Zerelda and SC fan you talk about the folks who went over to the other site like you're not among us. You're members! So are most of the people you mention would make good moderators for this site. We took the cream of the crop, I must say, not that you can't post here as well, as your presence here proves.

We have 2600 messages on our site starting with the second to last episode and there isn't one troll posting among them. And the only comment we've had to edit was when someone accidentally posted their contact info when sending a message from their blackberry. Meanwhile, it looks like the AMC site learned something from our defection. I'm glad they took the time to reflect on the changes we asked for. All I can say is, what took them so long?

Wish I had time to post on the Yahoo site more....old habits and all that.

I'm finally able to get back into the Talk Forum site. I couldn't get in at all for some reason so I was only able to comment on the blog since about the start of S3. I'm sure I missed a lot.

Drink, I think you or any of the others I've "nominated" would all be great....but, I, on the other hand, am entirely too much of an off topic fan, I enjoy it when everyone "banters" ....I'd be terrible at keeping everyone on the subject, and that's the sad truth. I'll probably end up getting booted for that very thing when the "new" forum commences. lol??

You, on the other hand....are concise, diplomatic and to the point....lots of you Maddicts are....Lily will have an easy choice (depending on which ones actually e-mail her to "apply for the job", I guess!) IMO

I think it's up to AMC who they choose as moderators. If they do, I don't think they will be choosing people who were highly argumentative like Dry was. Also, I believe, she herself said, that she was warned by Lily on a number of occasions. I think people who got warned would be the last folks that AMC would hire. Then again, it's AMC, so maybe their "cunning plan" would be to put the luntics in charge of the asylum.

Jeffe, if you're really not interested in the Yahoo site, let us know and we'll unsubscribe you.

@hobocode52, I third your self nomination, if you promise to FORCE everyone to attach an avatar to their posts.

G just because you have the coolest avatar some people would rather go blank then try to compete with you.I will if selected urge the use of avatars. The craziest thing that happened in the wake of the secession from this site was the entire "anonymous" program. Several different posters chose to go the Anonymous route when that option was presented to them. I found it a pain in the neck. Hey Anonymous of 11/1 10:24 loved/hated your idea. That policy has to at least have a mandatory avatar. why am i suddenly craving a Brady Bunch episode.

@hobocode, see? That's why you need to moderate. Not only do you find joy in Jan Brady's wigged pouty face, but you also know what it would take to keep it as simple as it should be.
I personally just skipped through any 'anonymous' posts (realizing early on that there was more than one).
All that shouting and pushing and shoving scared me away from the site on some days (Mom and Dad, please don't fight).

But really everyone, just google image a subject and 'save' in a file...

I suppose I'd propose myself and TheProf, with all due humility.
