Yes, I agree the best show on TV. Great writing, directing and acting. Should receive many awards again.

You all will get no argument from me!

So sad it's over again til next season.

I am 55, also a big TV junkie and arts lover, and I must agree 150%. Mad Men is absolutely riveting. It's one of the most original shows ever. It's incredible to see a show like this just when you thought that new variations of doctor and cop shows were it.

I also find myself glued to it because I grew up in New York during this time. The decor, clothing, mannerisms, etc. bring back such vivid and wonderful memories of this period in New York. These were the way adults looked and acted during my childhood and it's like Scotty beamed me up into the set each week. I love it. It is SO true of New York. And having worked on Madison Avenue in the 70s, it really is close to my heart.

This was one of the best endings I ever saw to a season closer. I replayed it and enjoyed it more the second time. I am already projecting (hopefully) that next season will open with them in a swank new suite of offices forging their way to greatness in their new firm.

Some poster (can't remember who) that seemed knowledgeable commented that MM was originally set for 5 seasons. Anybody know? Is there any hope we could get more seasons????

I don't recall who that was, bi, but I remember reading a post (about 5 seasons for MM stated by MW) as well.

I hope that's correct, but, I'd love it if MW decided to go 7 or more!

MW's original thought (according to my damaged, damaged memory) was five seasons, spaced at every other year so as to stay within the 60's time frame. Now... ?
