what is your favorite MM scene from each season?

ok - saw this question posted on fb and thought i would put it out on the boards as well. I'll get the conversation started and post my three fav scenes.

Since MW and his crew of all star writers still have two epis left to wow us, i have to say that as of today, the maypole scene is one of the most beautiful and provocative pieces of television i have ever watched. Sally in her white dress with blue sash and don the image of male perfection in his aviators, and of course, the sensual stroke of grass that had so many of us talking!

season 2 would be the infamous dinner when don showed bobby who was calling the shots. so shocking i asked my husband if AMC was cable television! later in the epi, betty endearingly tells don they made a great team, and for the first time i felt truly sad for betty.

season 1 betty getting to "know" her washing machine - the irony of don being an "adonis" in the bedroom yet so out of touch with his wife's needs. i'm sure don would never expect his wife to find her own version of the "relaxacisor" .

Season 1 - At PJ Clarke's, when Chubby Checker's "The Twist" comes on the juke box and they start jumping and squealing. Ken Cosgrove - a very sexy twister. :)

Season 2 - When Pete says "Hells Bells Trudy" and throws the chicken out the window.

Season 3 - Wow! a.) When Henry kisses Betty in the car. b.) the whole "Don coming clean to Betty" while Miss Farrell's sitting in the car! OMG - that was tense.

I have to say 2 scenes from season one: the fade out from ep 1 when Betty is watching Don looking at the kids, fade out to "On the Street Where You Live" and, of course, the best ever scene when Don pitches the Carousel.

And Betty shooting the pigeons. I never liked her more than that scene (sorry Racy!)

Have to agree with the Carousel scene...hard to top.

Season 2, I guess the best would be when Pete went into the room with the "helpful litererature" and picked up a magazine (bondage??) and the scene cut quickly to Roger with the paddle ball....so funny.

Season 3, so far, the one between he and Betty (actually many scenes) when he confesses to her.

There are sooooooo many in each season...hard to choose!

deep dish and SCfan - i agree - the carousel scene is one of my tops too and i almost chose it as my number one - i also loved when betty unleashed on the pigeons - especially the cigarette half hanging from her mouth, so liberating ;-)

Another one of my fav S2 moments was when betty purposely keeps the salt shaker off the kitchen table after she finds out don has high blood pressure - of course, she only learns this after don uses his recent diagnosis as the reason he drove his car off the road. don sits there staring at the table and it sinks in for a minute, he is loved and perhaps he is even a bit remorseful.

I love those simple moments between don and betty, neither are good at showing their feeling, i imagine that is what keeps them from divorce.

Yes, j9mac, love those Don and Betty scenes.

Also loved the one when they were at the dinner table and she told him she'd decided not to keep modeling (when they fired her because Don wouldn't leave SC to come work for them!) ~~ the look on his face...he knew they'd let her go, but he let her save face by pretending it was her idea.

Those two remind me of Scarlett and Rhett....in love deep deep down, but can't get past all the surface s**t to uncover it!
