WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN TO BETTY
After the teacher's late night prank calls are hung up on by Don and she starts appearing at his home, work, and even his meetings, I would like Betty to divorce his philandering ass. Then I would like to see her marry a man who really appreciates her and treats her like a queen. Or I would like to see her get a job and start taking care of her family by herself. Either would satisfy me.

I always want the dependent woman in a show, movie, book, etc. to become independent and take care of herself and her kids. But it WON'T happen with Betty. She went from Daddy taking care of her to Don/Dick taking care of her. The only job she ever had was modeling and we saw how that went when she tried to get back into it via SC. And didn't we learn that her major in college was anthropology. What can she do with that, even in the 1960s?
Betty is severely damaged from that sicko father of hers, who was grooming his young granddaughter for something. Betty will always be unhappy and paired with controlling men. There will be a "second husband" but it won't be creepy Henry. She'll grow old and calcified, drinking herself into oblivion. I know someone exactly like her.
