Agree. Thank you for posting their current names. I have done my share of warning, which in itself is tedious......
If a post seems even a bit odd it doesn't take much to realize they are a troll and baiting to get anyone---anyone to respond....they are desperate, like an immature child who will do whatever to get attention. These are sick people! They should not be engaged at all.
I also know that some of them, and the name is not above, is clever enough to do borderline posts in order to get attention. Anyone posting an outright insult to any poster is a troll! Think about it when someone posts: "Betty "Cracker" instead of the actual name, Crocker.....What does that say to you?

I have noticed that someone will start an interesting thread and pretty soon one of the bizarre trolls will hop aboard. Unfortunately, this often stops the thread. Add JeanM to the above list. Pretty sure they are all the same pathetic person. I just check the name before I read the post and skip any by these names.

I posted all of those names (cept Chris is not) last episode/it's so obvious. Why can't we all admit that we enjoy them as we keep posting threads directed at them, and mentioning their names when they hibernate? I posted a thread "To troll or not to troll" that Lily got rid of cuz she knows that we need them to keep everything fresh! They're better than the recipes & lyrics, etc that clog up the tubes!

I certainly don't take the weird and childish behavior and insults of an anonymous troll personally. But you have to admit, it is pretty 7th grade for someone sitting in their living room or office to spend time out of their life and go out of their way to talk trash about someone they've never met, who otherwise has no beef with them. I mean, even when I outright disagree with someone or have a heated discussion, once it's over, I don't even think about them once. They don't mean anything to me or even cross my mind, so whey would would I go out of my way to insult them? I don't even care about them enough to dislike them. Which is also why their insults are so meaningless, if not a bit disruptive to the threads.

I will say, the trolls and few other less than friendly posters here are quite effective reminders that too much time on the Internet is not a good thing and can breed some very strange and anti-social creatures. I just can't imagine that sort of mentality from a normal grown woman or man.

Bertha A. Morshing, age 73, of Waterville, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul.

Born in Le Sueur County on August 29, 1936, Bertha was the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Marie (Nikl) Coon. She attended school in Waterville, and graduated in 1955. Following graduation, Bertha was united in marriage to Melvin F. Morsching at St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran Church. She worked at Faribault State Hospital for eight years, and later at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center. She was a long-time member of St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran church in Le Sueur County.

Bertha is survived by six children, LaDon Morsching of Elysian, Stuart Morsching of Madison Lake, Kevin Morsching of Elysian, Melody Morris of Waterville, Julie Mertins of Waterville, and Russell Morsching of Morristown; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five siblings, Rochelle Miller of Waseca, Mary Ellen Schultz of Squaw Lake, Alvin Coon of Elysian, Dallas Tollefson of Blue Earth, and Randy Coon of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran Church in Le Sueur County. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church.

IMO I think it's unfair to lump Christopher in with the crazy guy. Arguements are one thing. The troll is in a category all by himself. (Sometimes literally, as on some threads its three or more of his "characters" talking to himself. LOL)

My anger is with AMC. Their attitude towards the forum is one of base neglect. There is even one of his "turds" in with the favourite quotes contest. Umm, aren't the editors supposed to read those things before sending some folks a poster. There are so many people on the Blog masthead and apparently not one of them has the time to read the forum. They only remove offensive posts 4 -5 days after they've been up. Hello! They're basically giving the guy carte blanche to piss all over the forum. Result=chaos.

@Penultimate: I read this obit before I got on the forum. With a nod to you, I'd like to add this one as well, as I found the "life" mentioned there to be a fair summation of what the troll's must be like.

What kind of life do you have, "Bertha", when all you seem interested in doing is hanging around this Forum and posting obnoxious crap just to annoy people you have never met?

Here is an idea, why don't you volunteer somewhere. Help build a house for a family that is down on their luck. Deliver meals to folks who are elderly or ill and housebound. Go to a nursing home, and sit and talk to the folks there who never get a visitor. Help out at a food pantry. Buy a supply of diapers for your local crisis nursery. If none of that appeals, just go for a long walk, and pick up any litter you see along the way. You can enjoy this gorgeous autumn and help the environment at the same time.

Do something, "Bertha", that will take you away from the computer. I guarantee you will feel far better about yourself afterwards than you ever will just hanging around here in a futile attempt to annoy a bunch of anonymous folks who won't even bother to read your posts.

ones in which people go off on whatever they ate today, who they partied with or other non-show things, unless it relates in some way.

No offense, but it sure helps you get through those 790 posts much faster.

Don't forget--these trolls are usually very very lonely and neglected 15 year old pimply faced boys who sit in the basement and eat Cheetos and spend all their time on the computer trying to find people to abuse because they are ignored by their crank-using parents and so bullied at school and jeered by all the girls. Or if they are actually out of school, this was their life then and still is--living in their parents basement without any women or friends. No wonder they are so angry and need ANY adult attention--even scolding. Indeed, they are so self-loathing that they actually get off on the humiliation and hatred they inspire. Kind of like the man on the subway who exposes himself--they want to be yelled at.

Feel sorry for them all alone with their Cheetos-stained faces and Megadeath T-shirts. And in the end, they know we know the truth about their sad lives, despite their false bravado and they can't hide from that.

Hard as it is, starving them of the attention they crave is the only way to get them to move on (she writes as she posts this...oh well).

Also, thanks to a regular poster who provided Lily's email. That is the best thing we can do is provide that in threads in which trolls are offending. Then the message is passed on quicker by more. We know they are pissed are already trying to get back, but hopefully their ISP is tracked and expelled!
