Absolutely. It's ridiculous. I very much enjoy reading what people say, but this site just can't keep up. THey had indicated they were aware of the problem, but it's only gotten worse.

A few threads beneath this one Peaches of 8 started a new Open Thread for Ep 9, it works perfect. We're trying to get people to head over there.

A lot of us can get every thread except the original open thread, I get the whiteout also.

I still cannot post a message I can only reply

So annoying and so slooooooow, and the whiteout comes and goes....we've only been complaining about this for how many months?

I'm not sure what the particular problems are for people but this is what i found works for me when the site goes a bit whacky:

First, of course I'm signed in and I write a post in the box. I "copy" the text because many a time I'm fooled by whack-site it says I'm not signed in... I sign in. Then...I "paste" onto the comments area. It's tedious, but it works.

Second, once I have posted and hit submit, it's not over--since my post does not show up, I hit the refresh button, and there it is.

Those are the only two problems I've had accept the site can be slow and it would be nice to be able to edit or to directly reply to a post.

Part of the problem could be trolls--one of their biggest intentions is to burden the bandwidth of sites---another reason to really ignore their baiting threads and posts. Notice they aren't shy about coming in new and right off posting new threads and posting long, rambling, nonsensical crap and really like posting to their own threads. It isn't hard to spot them once you see how their posts are designed to incite and argue and to insult. Read as if you are actually having a conversation with a person. Would you talk to them at a party or walk away? If a thread reads "off" even a bit I hit the hyperlink to their name and see if it's their very first post of any kind. If a thread is a bait but the subject is interesting enough start a legitimate one.
There needs to be a way to contact a moderator.
Anyone know if there is a way?

OK, I've had it throughout the day when I checked, and I couldn't get on to the main, Pete & Lucky Strikes & even this one--white out, too.
But I hit this button right next to the arrows/refresh button, it looks like a torn paper & it say 'Compatibility View: websites designed for older browsers will often look better,
and problems such as out of place menus, images or text willbe corrected'. I'm on Internet Explorer. Hope this helps, it totally cleared up everything.

Most of the time when I get the white screen, I can get back the thread by refreshing a couple of times on that page.

I have to post something trivial just to get into an updated thread so I can read what others have written.

My list of the threads never seems to update past Sunday night....I have to scroll down to find the threads....

Then, when I click "older", I get jerked way back. I finally had to start looking up threads in the "archives"

Finally, if you don't disable the "animated media", you can't scroll or post or anything!!
Who is in charge??
