You are very creative Leila! Are you a writer?
One night Francine is out following Carlton and drives by Suzanne's place, after seeing Don's car, she calls Betty to alarm her. Betty storms over and catches Don in bed with Suzanne. She gets upset slams the door and storms home. Not knowing what to do she calls Henry, who advises her to call an attorney friend of his. She files for divorce on grounds of infidelity, and asks for the moon. Meanwhile Don is out of the house and his biggest worry is how Connie is going to feel, he knows his SC pals will understand and comfort him in his time of need. During the divorce proceedings Don learns that Betty has not been the shy demure wife he thought she was, he discovers through the phone logs, and Henry's secretary, and Carla, that there is just enough news to sway a judge to see things his way in a divorce. Because the attorney is a friend of Henry's and he doesnt want any trouble for Harry, his advice is to accept Don's proposal of keeping the house, the kids and letting Don go paying little alimony and child support. Besides she is about to inherit half of Gene's estate. Don and Suzanne, his soul mate leave New York for sunny California purchase an oceanfront Frank Lloyd Wright designed beach house. Don opens a volkswagon dealership and is wildly successful and on occasion he invites his old buddy Roger and his young wife Jane out for some rest and relaxation. In the meantime Betty becomes a bitter divorce' whose days are consumed with alcohol, soap operas and cigarettes. The years have taken a toll on her fomer model body and she is twice the woman she used to be. With Bobby and Sally out of school and on their own, she is alone in Ossining, only leaving the house to shop at Target for clorox and cat food for her and 13 cats. Her salvation is sitting in front of her computer looking for websites featuring other women who feel they have been wronged by the men in their lives.

OH No! I thought that I came up with that. Amazing how a simple idea is so common!
I love the target shopping and cats - so purrfect!!!!!
Sally's life will strangly mimic that of Sharon Stone in "Casino".......
I say the gypsy (Sally) and the hobo (Bobby) will be trick or treating. Those are typical 60's costumes - rummage and make something up. I'm sure I was each at one time. Loved Halloween.
I predict...drum roll, please....the opening scene will be at the office on Halloween day, with Ken sneaking up behind Harry, making the sound of a lawn mower and yelling "Look out, Lois!", thereby causing Harry to do a Freddie in his trousers.
BoyToy, I am not having much luck with my "serious" predictions, so I thought I would go the humorous route...but I really would enjoy seeing the above scene....
..at least it's a good one, Zerelda! U really liked that mower scene, I should send you the severed foot I have out for Halloween! lol
A severed foot! Ha! BoyToy, you should post a thread about Halloween, asking folks what they find scary and how they like to decorate.... I like pumpkins and black cats, myself.
Fade in to Betty and Don just awakening in the morning, curtains swaying slightly the blueish hue through the windows of the day to come. Don reaches over to Betty ,see's her staring at the ceiling watching a tiny spider racing across. Affectionately Don tries to kiss her,she doesn't respond.... A puzzled look on his face he reaches over to the nightstand for a cigarette." Betts, what's wrong. She suddenly jumps up walks out of the bedroom. Dons put his cigarette out twisting it in the ashtray.. Cut !!
Sounds to me like that spider ruined the mood, it did 4 me!
Boy Toy, the spider just gave Betts the urge to get out of bed, as it was racing across the ceiling. It's like the music that plays in a grocery store to get you shopping.
I think Halloween night will open the episode, probably at Don and Betty's. If they have Carla taking the kids out for Halloween, I'm gonna spit. First, unless I'm mistaken, she has her own kids and her own neighborhood and I'm sure she wouldn't want to spend the evening at the Drapers'. Second, trick-or-treating kids traveled for several blocks in groups back then. No one ever accompanied us, but we knew nearly everyone by name. And nobody took their babies out in costumes.
Hope they get it right!
Hi Boy Toy.... OK, my bet this week is Suzanne calling Don at the office....
(Fifty-two... me too!)
