Depends on where you were, as now, but a martini would be priced from $1.00 to about $1.50 in NYC, but less than $1 in some places. Beer was 25 to 50 cents. Right into the early 70's, you could go out drink (a lot) and have enough for a good dinner with only a $20 bill in your pocket.
My bf Monty told me that the bar wine at the 21 Club was $3.14 inc tax in the 1970's. Of course this is an expensive place and it was probably a dollar elsewhere. Aga! I wasn't even born until 1990 haha

I can recall a Vodka Collins being around 75 cents (believe it or not) in 1969 and into the '70's.
