Nordic Downside

Would Don's affair with Miss Farrell have even started if Betty had boinked Don the day after they returned from Italy? Personally, I think not. He was looking for warmth and affection, hadn't done one thing wrong when she went all "Nordic" on him. Even Miss Farrell, even if she wasn't in the mood, didn't mind being affectionate.

I've never gotten the impression that Don and Betty had a sexual problem in their marriage. Oh sure, she was feeling moody after Italy, but that's not enough to push Don into another woman's bed. He can be faithful to Betty for awhile but eventually his roving eye just wanders around until it lands on someone who seems interesting or out of bounds. Don just isn't monogamous, period. He should have stayed single but he wants it all. Now, however, he's treading on thin ice, not only because he's getting careless but because he might be forming feelings for Ms. Farrell....OR Ms. Farrell likes him too much and might become a possessive stalker. I'm not sure why he chose someone so close to home. What happened to "limit your exposure"?
