Memo To Matt Weiner From The Open Thread Madaddicts
This may surprise you, Mr. Weiner, but fans of the show, posting on The Open Thread, are doing some serious complaining and would like to be heard. The following suggestions are just our way to say, "Please let us help you with the writing of Season 4". Here's some suggestions of what we'd like to see:

This thread is embarrassing! If you don't like the show as written, DON'T WATCH IT!!!
Racy hi, I'd like some outdoor shots of buses cabs. Empire State bldg. Not enough on the street, especially NYC. Some old brass revolving doors. It's basically shot in the suburban mode.... Still love the show the way it is ,but it would be nice.
I second Christopher, Racy. Yes, it would be very interesting to see more street scenes showing NYC as it was back then. Probably very difficult and expensive to do, but with Matt W.'s attention to detail, it would be fascinating, I am sure.
Ooh. I dunno, racy. As frustrating as the show can be at times, too many chefs would destroy it outright. The characters are not ours. We did not create them. We do not make them walk and talk. When my wife and I write our little recaps each week we borrow Weiner's creations, but we do not own them, nor would we ever presume to know what's best for them.
Asking to see street scenes is different. I'm all for that. But telling the creator what's best for his creations doesn't sit right with me. We all have pens and paper. Computers of our own. Would that we write our own screenplays and scripts if we want control of characters.
Racy - I love you girl, but MW, don't pay any attention to us. We don't know what we want. The only thing we might all agree on is that we don't like Jane. But who knows, by the end of next season with some character development, you could have us eating out of her hands. Just when we all think one thing, we realize something else, and that is due to your brilliant writing.
Christopher does have a good suggestion though. That would be fun.
Uh Kevin.... where the heck is our ADD for Episode 11? Is it up yet?
Kevin - Never mind. I see it. :)
Good suggestion Christopher. Seeing more of NYC would be nice.
I do agree with Kevin and as an avid viewer of MM, I wouldn't presume to even suggest to the author what HIS characters should or shouldn't do. I'm just along for the ride and sit in wonderment that this one particular show has captured my attention so completely...warts and all.
Hi everyone!
I'm with Laurie B. on this one. I don't think Matt or his writers even look at this Forum.
@Kevin Ament-I agree that there is no way we, the viewers, could do a better job, but there are soooo many questions just hanging out there that haven't been answered. I know this is what makes this show what it is and how it keeps us hooked.
Here are just a few of my thoughts and questions...
I would love to see how Anna was able to help Dick/Don become Don, but how did she explain all of this away to friends and family of the original Don Draper.
I want to see how he met Betty and their courtship.
Where is Sal ....(I want him back) I want to see him and sweet Kitty.
What ever happened with Peggy and Duck? (EWWW)
Where has Pete been and would love to see more of him and Trudy.
Is Helen Bishop still around and what about Glen?
How were they able to keep Lois around and how they handled the whole Guy/foot situation.
Where's Ken?
I could keep going...but hopefully (may not be this season- you know there are going to be a lot of cliffhangers) these things will be addressed at some point.
Would love to hear from others what questions they have for this show!!!
