Is this "Miss Farrell" in this Twix ad?
Looks like her, don't you think?

That IS her! Great find, Katie!
Yep, and she's just as crazy in that commercial as she is in MM.
LOL! Nice call, DD! And hey, DD! Great to see you here on the boards! I still love your pic entry, for the MM photo contest.
I think she's ever-so-pretty. Nice voice, too. She's the rare new young actress who knows how to use the lower tones in her voice...
I think this young actress is well-placed in MAD MEN, as she is of a "physical type" that was popular in the Sixties and early 70's.
She reminds me a bit of Geraldine Chaplin, or Kitty "Needle Park" Winn, remember her? Or the gorgeous Luci Baines?
The Sixties really celebrated the look of the "cool, longhaired, ultra-feminine brunette" in a way we do not do so much anymore today. I think of someone like Barbara Parkins (VALLEY OF THE DOLLS).
Or did you see Jeanne Tripplehorne as Jackie O. in the new GREY GARDENS movie? Luxuriant dark brown hair, beautifully brushed, backcombed and molded into a sgoulder-length , relaxed flip... is such a patrician, gorgeous look.
Nowadays, the PLAYBOY/porno worlds have overly championed the bleached-blonde "Barbie" look too much, IMHO. Have you noticed that Hugh Hefner's yearly outcrop of bimbos are clones of eaxch other--- bleached-blonde Barbie types?
I'll take a "cool longhaired brunette" anytime!
Some more 1960's "cool longhaired brunettes":
Buffy Sainte-Marie, Barbara Feldon, Ali McGraw, Mimi Farina.
Hi Rasputin1963~ As a longhaired (and hopefully, still cool!) brunette, I thank you for acknowledging us amongst the blondes!
You are SO RIGHT...she does look like a young Geraldine Chaplin....
Don't forget Cher!
Abigail Spencer AKA Miss Farrell reminded me immediately of Barbara Hershey.
rasputin1963, my daughter is a tall, thin natural blonde with blue eyes and very pretty. Unfortunately there is a stereotype that blondes are bimbos. My daughter is a college grad with an advanced degree and has a great job. I think the "bimbo" status only applies to bleached blondes.
Some more 60's and early 70's beautiful brunettes: Natalie Wood, Marlo Thomas, Mary Tyler Moore, Shelley Fabares.
It looks like the Twix ad is what got her the role on MM. That hot and cold conversation she has on the ad is what Miss Farrell is constantly doing to Don.
I just wish they'd powder her forehead!

To paraphrase Mama Gump: "Bimbo is as bimbo does." It's not the hair, sweetie, it's what's under it.
@tangles16
Yes, you're correct. No offense intended.
I think I was referring more to the fake-hair, fake-tan, fake-boob kind of blonde one sees so much today.
And I was referring to how America tacitly assumes that this kind of look is the ne plus ultra of feminine desirability.
