1604 East Stanton Place, Long Beach
That's the address on the deed for Don and Anna. Stanton Place runs north andsouth, but there IS a 1604 and it's not far from me. I want to drive over there and see. Wonder why it's Long Beach and not San Pedro?
Look it up on Google maps. It's just apartment houses and old crummy duplexes.
Of course the address today, not to mention the places, are likely NOT the same as the 1950s and 1960s.
It is unlikely that anything now showing up on a Google map (the reference to "old crummy duplexes") has anything to do with the time frame in which Mad Men is set. Google Maps are merely reference points for today's addresses (many of which change over the years as areas change), not a blueprint for what might have been nearly five decades ago.
@goodbye again: Duh. Whatever WAS there is gone NOW and apartments and crummy duplexes are in it's place. That's why I said it was best to look it up on Google instead of drive by.
