First off, I predict it will end on Nov 22 1963. What I WANT is for the various plot lines to come together, to a climax or at least to a jumping off point for next year. Next year will be about Viet Nam and the next "British Invasion" - the one the Beatles started.
When I have time later, I'll list some plot lines I want to see resolved.
-
Plot lines to be resolved:
- Peggy and Duck (both aspects: sex and career) - I hope it's ended.
- Joan returning to Sterling Cooper in some capacity - please
- Don and the teacher - I hope nothing happens; it will, of course be a new school year and Sally will have a new teacher.
- Betty and Henry - I'm actually in favor of Betty hooking up with the guy; she's way behind Don and needs to catch up. (if they were real people, I woudn't want it. But the story needs some spice).
I want Peggy to achieve a new level of career success. I want her to make that move to Manhattan and for her mother, on a visit there, to admit that it's quite nice. Maybe "Mom" can start visiting Peggy on Saturdays and they can go to museums together.
Oh, and I want Peggy to get laid with more frequency.
Hmm... with a bang or a whimper? I can't decide.
By episode 10, I'll have an opinion. Right now, I'm still in shock from Sunday night's goings on. One thing, I don't want Betty screwing around - one adulterer per household is more than enough.
I predict it will end on November 23, 1963 with everyone at the wedding reception, Mona having invited Don and Betty.
Or on November 24th, watching Oswald killed by Jack Ruby on live TV.
PP&L is in the process of putting SC up for sale after the Hilton account is lost. (PP&L screws it up - when haven't they?) Roger and Don have to reconcile in order to repurchase the company at a reduced price. Harsh, brutal scene between them (no fisticuffs, just verbal), the air is cleared. Roger drops his veneer and shows he really does know how to fight for what he wants. Or has another heart attack.
A part of me wants Betty to get with Henry because Don deserves it, the other part of me thinks it will just sink the family lower.
Career achievment for Peggy.
Sal working with the compeditor and taking some of SC's clients.
I want the teacher to go. I sense a Fatal Attraction sequence of events that put Don on check. But overall I'd just like her to go. I'd like Don and Roger to reconcile and Don to stop acting like a putz but I guess that is a lot to ask for.
