From the Fog to the Light

I am curious what others think about the references to light in this episode--Sally's nightlight, the scene of Don staring at the ceiling light. Last week's episode was about the characters being, in one way or another, in a fog. What, if anything, has been illuminated?

Hi TaTown... good question. made me think of Joan saying something like I'll get the light, ending that so sad scene where her man (like him or not... she loves him)-- illuminates for her his clay feet, his unhappiness and and his fears. Through it all she adjusts to each new revelation with her bright (and loving!) practical self... practical observations etc, and then says the capper... "I married you for your heart, not your hands"

And we the audience feel: oh no... slo mo train wreck...(not the first or last time we feel this of course)

I thought Don's comment to Sally about baby Gene, not knowing who he'll become and what a wonderful thing that is, indicated that Don has been enlightened. Specifically, about SC. I think Don realizes he has no future there and he is sick of the paper clip counting mentality of the Brits. Peggy is not happy and is looking elsewhere. Joan is gone. SC is not the place it used to be.

I think Don is going to break free and form his own agency. Peggy and Joan will join him, probably some of the boys. (Not Lois, though.)

Off topic: Did anyone catch what Don was scribbling on his paper pad during the meeting when the reorgnization was outlined? I've seen the episode 3 times, but I'm not sure what's on that pad.

Melba Toast, great line about the train wreck.

Thirteen... oh good one! lol lol

Chopin.. very nice riff ...Don & BG - light dawning. You are quite right.. Don could very well break free w/ Connie as first client... after all Don has a cool half mill.... I'd guess equivalent today might be 5 mill (?)... oh, and No Contract. Hmmm

Another lynx eyed poster (CRS re name, alas) said that he was doodling the American flag... apropos...

Hi,
okay, I hooked on this show....I rented the DVD's for the first two seasons and now ready to catch up with season 3.

I was able to catch the first show in season 3 on amc.com . It appears that is the only episode available on the site. Any suggestions of where I can see epsiodes thus far for the 3 season?
