Can we hope that Greg is lying dead on the floor next week?

I thought it was Don, but PixilDust said it could be Dr. Rapist. Easy for Joan to go back to SC if Greg is DEAD.

*sigh* We can only hope. But I think it's too much to expect another Deus Ex Tractora (to borrow a phrase from another poster). I fear if the Doctor is to be cast off that Joan must do the dirty work herself. And I don't think she's ready to go 'Lamb to the Slaughter' just yet, as awesome as that would be.

To further analyze...if he died, he'd have to die somehow:

murder: too soap-opera, no plausible assassins. Would be very random.

suicide: frankly, he just doesn't seem the type to go out while he still has people left to push around.

freak accident: already covered this episode.

Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't look likely. Tis a lovely thought though!

llama, please, let's hope! suicide? please please. Then we don't have to rent the steamroller. He could do suicide: despondent + pills? Why not?

One can only hope that Doctor Greg buys the ant farm. It's a tribute to Joan that she still seems to love him, but I really want him out of the picture. He's a rapist and bad doctor and deserves a prognosis negative.

user-pic

Hey, he could continue drinking - his whole persona was about being a surgeon in NYC. Can't do that now. He's weak, he rapes women. I can easily see a doctor overdosing.

I already posted on that other thread that I hope he gets run over by a garbage truck....still hope so!

Joanie the gorgeous widow.

@ Deep Dish. Sorry! I didn't mean to club your hope! ;)

He was run over by a John Deere lawn mower. An an arrest warrent has been issued for Lois Sadler.

My bets are on Greg! (lets hope!)

A poisoned martini (with Joan as the bartender, under Sally's tutelage) does the trick!

Alas, whoever it is has really dark hair, and Dr. Drunk has more sandy-colored hair. Maybe it's Harry? Or Don?

user-pic

maybe it is the one-footed guy

You know those previews – it’s never obvious. It could be a total stranger. That would be cool if it was Dr. Greg though. What a loser he is. I can’t believe he told Joan to quit before he even got the job. She has to come back to SC somehow and still save face, though. Maybe she can say she was just so bored after 2 weeks she decided to come back until she has a baby or something like that.

I don’t think it’s Don, though.

Mr. Hooker

like a good soldier he fell on his sword

Oh boy, I hope the guy lying facedown is Dr. Rapist (he does have lighter brown hair though). If it's not, then I still really hope he goes away soon, somehow.

I could easily see him committing suicide. It wouldn't be any more shocking or random than when Adam did. He was basing his and Joan's entire future on becoming chief resident, and then his supervisor tells him his surgical skills suck on the same day he lost the big promotion to a peer.

What about a case of alcohol poisoning or a fatal mix of alcohol and drugs? Could be accidental or could be intentional. He's already shown disrespect for his own profession in going against the Hippocratic Oath (Code Pink) so I wouldn't put it past him to pilfer some pills-- uppers, downers, whatever gets him through the day-- from the med closet at the hospital, and justifying it to himself because he's been under soooooo much stress lately. He seems like the kind of guy who thinks rules don't necessarily apply to him.

Hapynzap reminded in the open thread of ep6 post of Greg's earlier mention of :"felt like the floor opened right under me" or something to that effect...so that makes me thing and hope its Joan's sorry excuse of a husband on the floor.

user-pic

I just had the solution to the dark-haired man, face down on the floor.

As far back as Sal is in the closet, he's in front of John Hooker aka Moneypenny, who was about to be outed.

With the office manager position reopened, SC recalls Joan.

user-pic

Hooker would definitely twist the drama upwards!

user-pic

I just realized something! I think this is the first time EVER that finally, EVERYBODY agrees with one thing. Dr. Harris must die.

user-pic

LOL. A Greg Must Die fan club. Where can I sign up? I'm with you all the way Deep Dish. Dr. Rapist bites the dust!

If we can't have that on Sunday, then I wouldn't mind if it's Hooker because it would open up Joan's position again, as Ritt1 said.

@ThreadPosterAbuser: Most people know how to google, Bing, search out a subject. Your Cut & Pasting skills are very good, but to post a new thread every time you see "MadMen" in your searches, is getting very boring and hogging up the site. Is it possible to think before you stink up the board?

Blue Girl: I thought the hair color was to dark to be Greg...darn. My thoughts are it could be Don. Not dead...just fainted or something. He had that medical appt last season and nothing has changed with his habits except maybe a little less salt from time to time. Stress is a killer and his home life/office is filled with it. I remember exactly how it was with this generation ...never getting any excerise! It was sitting and smoking. Then more sitting and smoking.

user-pic

You're right Virginia Ann, the hair color looks much too dark to be Dr. Rapist, but a girl can dream. Don does have high blood pressure and doesn't take very good care of himself... hope he's all right though. Maybe it's Moneypenny.
