Schedule and OnDemand Complaints
First, if this were HBO or Showtime, we would get to see Mad Men episodes many, many times during the week at reasonable viewing hours. Instead, the show airs on Sunday and after that good luck . I must be electronically deprived because I don't have a TIVO or any way to record the show at this point. Also, I can't get the latest episode On Demand....Season 2 is still running on that, but how about the latest episode in the brand new season? This is up to AMC, not the cable company. Anybody else wondering about this for the billionth time?

Hi Jolie10...I checked AMC's MM schedule: Monday 10:30 p.m.; 1:30 a.m.; Wed 1:15 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Looks like Monday (8-24-09) is your best bet. I don't have TIVO or HBO...so I'm actually glad it's on AMC - can't afford HBO and TIVO.
I have On Demand through my cable company (Comcast) and Season 3 is up and loaded by the following day. Call your cable provider and ask them why it takes them so long to load. It's NOT AMCs fault.
Doesn't anyone's cable provider offer the DVR's for reasonable prices? I have DirecTV and my Tivo is like $2 extra a month. I didn't have to buy the box, it's the same box I get my satellite through.
Well, finally today Episode 1 is OnDemand.
Laurie B.: Last year when I complained to my cable company (Cox), they told me that AMC is responsible for generating the permission to air the episodes.....whether or not that's true is iffy.
I will look into the DVR, zabadu. It's just that I already pay almost $180 a month for cable, phone and computer. I'm not sure I can justify another electronic gadget. I have a DVD recorder but it seemed to interfere with my pay channels. I'll give that another go. My point here is if AMC wants to promote this show then do the reruns more effectively. Not that MM needs promoting, I guess, but that's how I discovered MM....accidently finding a marathon during a Sunday afternoon. Doesn't it seem like AMC runs "Breaking Bad" a lot more?
Jolie: The "extra gadget" should actually replace the cable box you now have with a cable box capable of recording. If your DVR is interfering with your pay channels, you need to talk to your cable company!!
I think the reason they don't rerun the new episodes frequently is so they can get higher ratings when the episode first airs.
I have been round with Time-Warner this week, trying to figure out why this isn't showing up. I've been sent to 4 different sources, and no luck yet. It peeves me since AMC is not offered as an HD channel in the first place.
I noticed last night that DirecTV is a sponsor. I bet part of the sponsorship deal is that they deny Time Warner, and perhaps others, on demand access. It'll be a cold day in hell before I'd sign up for DirecTV. They offer no on demand service at all, and I don't want to pay for TiVo. AMC is doing itself a disservice by not offering more showings at a normal evening time. Maybe AMC wants to close down Mad Men for some odd reason.
What channel are the past episodes of MadMen on....
I heard they are on HD on Demand...but I checked and they are not.
What is the station called?
I have Time Warner too. It's not listed anywhere???
I am disgusted about not finding AMC on demand on
my TIME WARNER account, and have no idea whose
responsibility this is. TIME WARNER directed me to
AMC, but I'm convinced AMC would direct me back to
TIME WARNER. Like many other viewers, I do not
want to add the cost of a DVR rental to my already bloated
cable bill, and find the re-airing times for MAD MEN
ridiculous.
Yes, I am also bummed out and annoyed that Time Warner (who I am generally happy with in terms od "In Deman" offerings) is not showing this season's Mad Men! I have spent many a night wandering in cable hell trying to locate it. I swear that last year, I was able to view the just-seen eps on HD showcase....Am I crazy?

Please excuse the typos- didn't have my mouse. And meant to add that I deleted the Mad Men eps I DVRd and deleted them before viewing (dumb) as I massumed that Time Warner would allow me the 'luxury'' of seeing them. I am writing a letter today. It'll be to both TW and AMC since no one seems to know which party is responsible.
I live in Rockville MD. After the first 5 episodes of this season's Mad Men, On Demand stopped showing it. I would like to know why we no longer get this show, since my daughter in Baltimore is still getting it. When we go to the screen for Mad Men in On Demand, Episodes, 2, 3, and 5 are the only ones listed - 6 and 7 (last Sunday's) are not there. Can anything be done about this?

It's the same w/FIOS on demand. Last year I was with comcast & it was on demand by Monday morning. We switched to FIOS this year & they showed the first 3 episodes then nothing. I'm wondering if it is AMC - i swear they ran full episodes of Mad Men on line previously & now it just clips
