Jon Hamm on E! (right now!)

So sorry I forgot to mention sooner that Jon Hamm was interviewed on the red carpet by E! last night. You can probably catch the re-runs today (right now!) and they may re-run it within E! News Weekend.

He couldn't have been more charming or self-effacing, calling himself an "idiot from Missouri" in response to the reporter's inquiry about the night-clubbing lifestyle some L.A. actors espouse.

Also, check out his new movie, an action-fantasy movie (?) which plot sounds interesting, to say the least, not to mention co-stars Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgeons (??).....check it out.....

Mad Men's Don Draper is ready for the cuckoo nest.

Jon Hamm has signed on to star with Vanessa Hudgens in the latest flick from Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), the action fantasy Sucker Punch.

He'll play a mysterious gambling man named High Roller in the 1950s-set flick about a young girl (Emily Browning) who faces a lobotomy after being committed to a mental hospital by her stepfather. She and her nuthouse pals plot an escape by entering an alternate reality, a sort of dream-world brothel run by the High Roller.

The flick costars Abbie Cornish, Carla Gugino, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone. Hamm will begin work after wrapping the current third season of Mad Men and the Ben Affleck-directed crime drama The Town.

Incidentally, the segment, which originally aired at 7:30 pm last night, included "Swelly Shelley's" not-so-covered boobage scene.

.....To be accurate, I don't think the interview took place last night, I meant that it aired last night.

Thanks for the links, Dry...

...nothing sexier than a guy who doesn't "know" he's sexy (or doesn't act like he knows anyway)...and who isn't "look at me look at me look at me" every living minute. What we used to call (all us "old gals" -- hell, I'm 20 years older than "old" Jon!) A Dreamboat....Yowsa!

What a guy....sigh.

.....Someone (Jimmy Fallon?) asked him if he Twitters.

His reply was something along the lines of "Hell, no. I'm too old."

I think in a way, Hamm is lucky. He's had the same girlfriend forever, since before he became "the sexiest man on television". I'm sure she keeps him grounded. I heard him say he likes to play video games, so he's probably this side of dorky too, and doesn't take it all seriously.
