The speculation on Mitch is ongoing and is a question repeatedly posed to the Mad Men cast and producers. The question has never been answered definitively, and makes me feel as if we are the brunt of an ongoing joke.

As an example, the following links are the threaded discussions held since Season One....there have been other mini-discussions within other threads as off-topic discussions on who he could be, could work, and was married to.

We are a devoted bunch and caught the reference to him right away, yet this detail, because it is undefined, stands out as something deliberately done. I have submitted your question formally (when questions from Maddicts are solicited) and informally, and each inquiry has been ignored.

So, 'Mitch' is a sore spot with me. I apologize for the facetious reply above...(I wanted to say, "Oh, no she di-ent and swivel my head around and wag my finger but it didn't translate to paper well...) Who knows? Be alert for the next time he's mentioned. It will probably be the answer to some trivia question that will win a million dollars some day in the distant future. ;)

I kinda agree with other posters on other threads that Mitch is a running gag....like Carlton on Rhoda...(I think it was Sandy who posted that opinion)

Anyway, it makes sense, in a warped sort of way....
