That thread is a great read, SCfan....the richness of detail with which some of this blog's contributors write...their vivid imagery...truly awesome (and just plain neat)!

It's so easy to "blow" (sounds pejorative, but we know it's not) --hours reading on this site. It's fascinating...and the whole phenomenon of this unique "Salon" or "Cafe Society" that exists here in "cyberspace" is as real, possibly as talent-filled, and often as stimulating as if it were in Gertrude Stein's "drawing room" or at the Algonquin Hotel' s Roundtable.

Kudos to you (and others) for being a "mainstay," through the thick and thin, the good and bad of it all. That takes dedication, perserverance (and probably fortitude too). (And just to let you know...which I prorbably don't "need" to do, but will anyway...don't think anything of it if I "disappear" from time to time--(I had a house guest for the entire Spring, for eg., and wasn't on the site at all). I tend to run in spurts by nature....probably another reason I admire (am in awe of) your constancy ...Are you sure you're not paid to do this? :) (Joke...I think. It would be money well spent if they did pay you)!

Thanks Drink...but, you, Dry, z, ho, Chelsea, flower, Mambo, grey, AA and many others (even if they do just pop in and out!) have kept me coming back...I enjoy everyone's efforts to keep the ball rolling...don't think the blog would have died without us, but we're just too stubborn to leave!
