A real Mad Woman

This Mad Men contest is such a great idea. I'm an Art Director in an ad agency myself (that's Salvatore's role) and I love this show. Shameless self-promotion: I'd love if you could give me 5 stars. It would be a thrill to step back in time in the ad world.

For a person in the persuasion business, I am a little disappointed in your presentation.

Hi, Polar!

Marcielad, very nice photo. You resemble a lady I worked with way back in the 60s. Your dress, hat, gloves and shoes seem just right. 5 stars from me, too.

Let me echo my fellow posters. I especially liked the vintage cubicle. And yes, I did vote for you.

Maricelad, I like the "Jackie" pillbox and the "Betty" gloves!

And that is a pretty dress, like Dry says....

You got my vote....Good Luck!

Hey FP. Good to be back.

Mad Men style is more than a 60's style costume. I do have to add, though, that yours is better than most of the ones I saw, but there is no Mad Men vibe. I probably will vote for you though because at least you look the part and appear to be period correct. Good luck!

.....At least she's over 18.

Maricelad,
That is a wonderful photo. Clearly much research and thought went into styling this. To me you do capture the Mad Men spirit. Thanks for sharing and enjoy Season 3!

Thank you for your support, everyone! This picture was actually taken during Halloween at my office last year. Had I known I would want to enter it in a contest months later, I would have placed myself in a more 50's location of course! (And the Art Director in me is cursing at myself for not having done that.) I appreciate the kind words and votes.

By the way, I have to give a shout-out to my mother, who did my hair. She was a hair-dresser back in the 60s and she's still got it! Wow, that hair was hard.
