I love the line "we all go a little mad sometimes"!! The way they put the clips together was awesome; can't quite call it a teaser though because there is nothing yet from S3... I can't WAIT to see some stuff from S3!!!

I like it. I think it's an attempt to broaden the appeal of the show by playing up the more "shocking" aspects. Most popular shows today have to have some sort of (usually contrived) shock value: violence, drugs, sex, e.g. "Sopranos", "Weeds", "Big Love", "Breaking Bad".

Like it...just wish, like DD says, there were some tidbits from S3 in it.

.....Mambo.....I think the difference between a great show, and a great show like Mad Men is the fact that we care about the characters as much as we do.

We talked about that before with the Pulp Fiction vs. Kill Bill argument, and it took me a while to figure out what I meant there.....

We identify with them, and our "disbelief" is successfully "suspended" for the duration.

.....Here's a prediction (because anyone here for any length of time knows I don't go there).....

The first real teasers they throw out there will see a noticable rise in attendance on this forum.

You're right, Dry, MM is definitely character driven. That's why we love it, but a lot of people, especially younger ones (and I mean anyone under 40!) just won't watch. Some years ago the (then) 20-something woman who cuts my husband's hair told him some particular movie (I think it was "Wag the Dog") had "too much dialogue" !!! I just don't get it.

And, regarding the Season 3 teaser, if MM is still filming season 3 even as we speak, there may not be any new footage. Give it time. Besides, if someone has never seen the show, the clips in the teaser are new to them.

The teaser in deed does give you plot lines for season 3. Betty's pregnancy, What happens to Duck, Peggy's baby, Trudy and Pete's relationship, another chance meeting with Jimmy Barrett?

Yeah, Chopin and All...our problem is we've had about all we can stands (to quote Popeye!) and we can't stands no more! (All this WAITING and time dragging we've been through ~~ and continue to have to go through!)

But, we have to! August will be here when it gets here and that is a D - R - A - G ......
