Wow, my mom was a chain smoker and even she quit while she was pregnant...at least that's what she told me....if she was "storying" to me, well, that explains a lot!

Gracious, as good looking as January Jones is, even she can't overcome the awfulness of maternity clothes from that era. Only thing missing is a huge bow hanging on her chest. The Ugg boots and the hoodie don't help either, but even without them there is no saving that top and skirt. I just know that skirt has a big old elastic panel across the front.

Hopefully the outfit looks better onscreen than between takes like this. JJ must be wearing the hoodie and Uggs to keep warm between scenes, I guess. The whole outfit together looks delightfully trashy, though, with her smoking while wearing the baby bump! LOL.

I think that Betty will be pregnant at the start of season three and then gives birth a few episodes in.

Well, this set of candid "JJ Smoke Break" photos sure refutes the statements that she was one of the cast members who had given up smoking.

January Jones is a wonderful human being and a fine, attractive actress. Who Cares? as Burt would say. What is not a smart career move is to lie about this.

From the celeb sites, it would appear that half of young Hollywood smokes. Perhaps their parents were the NON-smokers whose parents kicked it due to smoking, so all that terror and fear maybe skipped a generation.

Being thin in Hollywood is such a big deal, it's no wonder they need to put something in their mouths!

JJ has said in many interviews that she quit smoking not long before MM started only to take it up again once the show began. I think she's actually the only one of the actors who does admit to smoking off screen.

So many young actors seem to smoke but try to hide it for fear of being branded a bad "role model" or whatever. It always amazes me that after all the acknowledgment that smoking kills that it's still taken up by so many people. I was the one in high school admonishing my friends for smoking, in case you can't tell. LOL.
