.....Good role for Jon Hamm..... James Franco is a fine actor, but I'm a little shaky on him as the choice to play Ginsburg..... we'll see I guess.
Interesting backstory on Perry Mason.
Good info, Dry.
I'm so glad he's getting movie roles...just hope he doesn't pull a George Clooney and go that route exclusively. Unless he does his movies in the off season...that'd be ok I guess...
i actually saw pictures of this movies in last weeks sunday ny post. i didn't know JH had a role in it.they had a picture of james franco as ginsberg ,it looked like he had gained some weight to play the role. although he seems to be a bit to "pretty" to play ginsberg.
Jon Hamm is a great actor! I agree w/SCfan, I hope JH doesn't leave the small screen, but I'd love to see him in some quality big screen movies.
.....Oops.....That should be Ginsberg.....
Another role on the horizon for Jon is the mystery feature The Boy in the Box with Josh Lucas.....

Near as I can tell from the scant information on line is that it looks like a present-day fictional story built around the 1957 mystery surrounding the discovery of an unidentified boy in a box.....

Also, I just found a link to this ridiculously funny interview in a series called Between Two Ferns, with Zach Galifianakis and JH.....

Interesting links, Dry...wonder what part JH has in that mystery movie...the father of the little found child? That might be a good movie coming up.
Someone (maybe you?) posted that Zach G. and JH "Ferns" interview a while back...I say it was nice looking at JH (who was funny) but that Zach guy is a pain. Either JH was using his very best acting there, or he really was pissed...probably the former.
Thanks for all the links...good reading (but sad -- about the little dead child)
Oh...just re-read your post, Dry...unless it was a flashback, I guess what I wondered about JH's part (being the father of the found child) wouldn't be very plausible...the movie being set in present day and "built around" that real life case. I need to pay attention better....!

ooooooops!!
.....SCfan.....Oh they did? How did I miss that one? Sorry 'bout that!
IMDb has this:
"A detective deals with the loss of his own son while trying to uncover the identity of a boy whose mummified remains are found in a box buried for fifty years."
I'm unclear exactly how it ties into the real story.....
No problem, Dry...I just remembered it (the post about JH on the "Ferns" deal a while back) because he (JH) looked so hot in it and that Zach fellow was trying so hard and still was not funny (JMHO)
It is hard to tell, though, if JH was actually pissed or just pretending to be to "go along" with the guy.
He's that good of an actor.
....so JH plays a detective? That should be interesting...
I wish they'd find out what did happen to that little boy (the real life case) that's awful that the poor little thing never even got a decent burial...
.....SCfan.....What made it funny were Jon's reactions. He seems to gravitate toward the more Jimmy Kimmel-type very dry humor.....
Really don't think he is annoyed, just very deadpan - as it should be for a "Disney Prince...(heh).
As far as the movie, it's not clear if JH plays the detective. Josh Lucas is billed just above him, so not sure.
Yes, Dry, he does seem to go for more the subtle humor and dry (pun intended!--hee) type. He is good at comedy most definitely.
I still think his "Don Draper's Guide To Picking Up Women" on SNL was one of the funnier things ever on there...almost up there with the old stuff with Dan A., Bill M., Chevy C., John B., Gilda R., etc...of course, he did not write it, but his delivery was fantastic! Also, his impression of James Mason...("....say!...where are the whores?!"
