For sure JH is marvelous on 30 Rock. He does have chemistry with Tina Fey. Now with luck fans of 30 Rock will start watching MM and our fans will watch that show. A real win-win.

To be technically correct, Maggie Siff is a guest star on Life on Mars who will recur a few more times this season. Within the acting community it is considered insulting to use the term "bit part." In fact Maggie gets considerable high-quality screen time. Her near cat fight with Gretchen Moll was priceless.

Last Friday Peyton List (Jane S who is Roger Sterling's latest young love) was a guest star on Monk playing the duplicitous assistant to magician Steve Valentine. Much of that episode was actually filmed at The Magic Castle in Hollywood.

What I like about JH's appearances (30 Rock, Day the Earth Stood Still, SNL host duties) is that he's expanding his acting repertoire, and showcasing acting diversity. You see nothing of Don Draper in 30 Rock, etc, so that's great.

Wonder what took him so long to leave teaching and head west to try Hollywood?

You'd think he'd have had the "bug" hit him long before his '30's.

Oh well, just glad we got him when we did...doubt if his gorgeous mug would have the character it has as DD if he'd begun his career in his 20's...things happen when they should, I suppose.
