Colin Hanks on Broadway....
...he is currently co-starring with Jane Fonda in a new play, still in previews, called "33 Variations"...the play is interesting, but needs some work...especially Jane...CH is good and very appealing...Has anyone else seen this yet?...would love to hear other opinions, even though it's not directly about MM...

I would love to see this play, if only for the music. It is about Beethoven and why he chose to write 33 variations on a simple little waltz by another composer. Don't know how well Jane Fonda will do, but I wish her the best. I don't think she has been on Broadway since the early 60s, though I could be wrong. I applaud anyone who gets up on stage in front of a live audience. I could not do it.
My problem with actors and actresses is when they become so well know for their personal life that they cannot become lost in a role and make you forget who (whom?) you are watching. Once they become more famous for being "stars" than for their acting, they have lost me.
That is one of the pleasures of watching "Mad Men" for me. None of the actors or actresses is too well known. I can get wrapped up in the characters and storyline without being distracted by the real world.
Love Colin...not so much Hanoi Jane.
Sorry, always thought she was overrated.
I hope the play does well, though, for his sake.
