"Trust Me"---- the First MM Clone?
Well, I was wondering how long it would take for the copy cats to kick in! Seems starting 1-26-09 we will have a Mad Men wannabe (all about advertising, anyway) premiering on one of the "big 3" networks (as they used to be referred to) can't recall if it's ABC, CBS or NBC---except it's set in current times. Think it will be a hit?

Oops, gotta correct myself! I do believe the show is on TNT...not the ones I mentioned!
Anyway, I kinda hope it's at least watchable. It will help pass the time until July!

Also, interesting how Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh have both starred with John Slattery aka Roger Sterling in past shows (Will & Grace and Ed, respectively).
Hmmm a copy cat show? I was wondering when that would happen. I can bet it won't be as good!
Interesting comments, guys...I do like Tom C, not so much Eric M. but, let's hope it has the writing to be worth a look.
Can't possibly be as good as our beloved MM, but it's worth a try to pass the time til summer, huh?
Agree that Trust Me could be good - but will be a pale imitation. We'll see.
But if you love MM, be on the look out for a new novel called "Soul for Sale".
It's about life in the contemporary ad biz - and life itself, frankly, just like MM.
