I posted in the blog, but will repeat here!

I'm so glad they got the Ensemble award...however, JH and EM were robbed, of course.

YAY, MM!!

user-pic

Hey, we Maddicts got mentioned by name!

That was us JH was talking about when he said MM had "dozens of viewers"! LOL

What a funny remark--- from the classiest of guys!

user-pic

A congratulations toast to all the Mad Men cast members...CHEERS!! Thanks, Jon for mentioning the fans. Keep making room on the mantle for more awards and hang on for the ride!

user-pic

How great is that???? The greatest!!!

I jumped for joy and applauded wildly. I had been thinking of all of you when Jon and Elizabeth were "not the victors" (they are certainly not "losers"), so I was glad we all were given something to celebrate.

It is a wonderful vindication of a magnificent show and those who make it so special.

user-pic

By the way, do any of you know........what's up with Jon's hair?

user-pic

It's only a matter of time for the rest of the world to catch up to us ..........we're so proud to be the very best "dozens of ....." MadAddicts on the whole darn planet!

Everyone stand up......raise your glasses .....

A TOAST

"Here's to the MadMen cast......each and every one of you!

Now pat yourself on the back.....you deserve it.

user-pic

Here, Here, silver!...clink... clink... clink... clink... clink....(all our glasses "toasting")

Sandy, I think maybe Jon just decided to go "natural" and not use any gel or mousse, or?

I kinda liked the soft, natural look for a change. He looks just as sexy with some hair kinda breezing across his forehead, no?

He looks best of all as DD, 1of course, Brylcreemed and slick!

Hot, burnin' sexy!

user-pic

DD, 1? What the hell is that?

oops

user-pic

Talk about the power of suggestion........I am headed downstairs for a sip of Jon's Maker's Mark bourbon. The show....and all of us......deserve it for sure!

I'm so happy! SAG is smart enough to recognize all the cast members. What a coup for actors.

I wondered what was up with the kids. The girl was too shy to go up to the mike? Funny.

Joh's hair was sexy. The women all looked grand all decked out. I am recording the red carpet later and hope they interview some of the cast.

.....Congratulations to the Mad Men…..Where was Matt?

Don’t get me wrong, Sally Field is very deserving, and I love Hugh Laurie like pancakes but, like their fellow nominees, they’ve both been nominated and won like five hundred and ten times!

It’s pretty disappointing, but I’m happy for Matt and the cast and crew for their ensemble win, that Jon and Elisabeth were nominated, the show is going forward, and they all have jobs for the next couple of years (at least)!

Check out the backstage comments, and the funny things the Mad Men guys had to say …..

(From the L.A. Times The Envelope…..)

Boys' club

Very much in keeping with the mucho macho, "bros before hos" tenor of their '60s-set show, the men of "Mad Men" reached the interview room in advance of their female counterparts.

Asked by a member of the press where the "girls" were, Jon Hamm replied that January Jones, Elizabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks were getting their photos taken. But a moment later, he came up with a snappier answer.

"They're not allowed on stage," Hamm said.

"They're making sandwiches," added Vincent Kartheiser.

Bryan Batt chimed in too: "They're getting ice for our drinks."

(And from the Reuters/Hollywood Reporter on line…..)

An inordinate number of questions for the cast of AMC's "Mad Men," which was named best ensemble in a drama series, focused on the uncharacteristically floppy hair of star Jon Hamm. "A piece of the set fell on my hair, and I had seven stitches, but my hair did not move," he said of his locks' sturdy strength on the show.

Fellow cast member Elisabeth Moss was forced into a bit of corner when someone asked her which cast members were coming to her wedding to "Saturday Night Live" star Fred Armisen; she quickly said it would be private and small. "But it will have all the people I love," she said.

Congratulations to a unique group of actors who each deserve their own award! Thanks for sharing your talents with us viewers who appreciate Mad Men so much. It's especially great when your peers acknowledge what we the viewers have known and loved since Season One!

CONGRATZ MAXIMA:

to Matt and the Cast, Crew, other Writers, Producers, AMC, and you darlingest fellow-MADDICTS !!!

There was a pronouncedly joyous hush in the room before MAD MEN's triumph was announced. And didn't EVERYONE look gorgeous. Vincent's hair was too cute. Jon's cow-licky action did not mar his beauty!? And the LADIES: stunning. . .

January is a fashion icon (Grace Kelly of 2009!), Elisabeth is so soft and pretty and sweet; Christina a sexy tigress-truly one of the most alluring actors of our day-her skin is ALABASTER.

I hope they all had a BLAST and drank gallons of "Tattinger," "Tanqueray," "Maker's," and "Dewars." I wonder if they got to chat with Brad and Angie, Mickey, Kate, and Meryl ?! What a fabulous evening.

Well, the world's a mess but at least we have PRESIDENT OBAMA and MAD MEN.

LOVE TO ALL !!!
CHEERS

I was so pleasantly surprised and excited when Mad Men won last night! We all know, of course, that Mad Men IS the best show on television, and I believe EVER, yet it is always it is always nerve-racking. It was a hoot to see the cast looking so wonderful; it felt like seeing old friends you have not seen in awhile. I can hardly wait until July for Season 3!!!!! My biggest wish is that even more people will tune in for Season 3 so this wonderful show will get the fan base it deserves.

Seagirl----Baking! Baking is very very sexy!

He can come to my kitchen and bake anytime...chocolate cake, with frosting...JH scented frosting.....yum

user-pic

Well, it would sure be fun to think of different ways to use up the frosting besides just on the cake!

user-pic

To go off-topic just a moment.......

Zerelda, the answer to your comment and question in the New York thread is as follows (with thanks to Google!):

"Dinah Shore, Bob Cummings and Gale Storm once rehearsed a number seated on a bench -- when the show was televised, the bench had been replaced with one without a back and when the three sat down they promptly tumbled over."

Now, back to the congratulatory comments on our favorite series!

user-pic

Sandy, thank you! I could never remember who Dinah Shore was singing with, but I could remember them falling over the bench so clearly! I am going to Google it myself and read all about it. Thanks again.

Fantabulous! To The Mad Men Cast & All of You Wonderful Maddicts! ....and the hits just keep on coming!
