Petition-request
Thing is.
I want Matthew Wiener back and I am sure more people than I want the same thing.
Don Draper, Peggy Olsen, Pete Campbell and Joan Holloway among others, started out like little sparks in Matthew Wieners head. Only he know their core, their background, their inner thoughts and their future.
We still peeling off the layers here. What happens if someone else takes over? What Matthew Wiener had in mind for the characters that are his creation will just be someone else´s take on it.
Mad Men have a too small budget but getting more and more watchers. Wouldn´t it be a good investment to spend more on it?
I have watched it from the start and I know that some people think the show is loved because of it´s good reviews and all the awards.
Frankly, I have never cared what the critics think and I don´t in this case either.
I like the slow pace, the way it trust itself by not try and "force" people to continue watching by using cheap cliffhangers. There are no huge events and big explosions. But at least what happens really matters.
I love the show. But only Matthew know the real story.
I want to know what he have in mind.
I gladly sign a petition to show my support, so if someone who are more talanted than me can make one, you got your first signer right here.
Don´t screw "Mad Men" up Lionsgate! Let Matt continue to create it.

Well said, TyraL. I agree. It is my hope that comments like yours are being brought to the attention of the powers that be.
Yeah. it would be nice if I could spell though;-), But to show that most of us fans are behind Matt, Maybe we need to do something.
I love Mad Men and I love reading or listening to Weiner being interviewed - but I'm not willing to assume that Lionsgate is the one being unreasonable.
Should have a new interview with Weiner up this week at lippsisters.com ... waiting for that.
TSoOML, I've wondered about the negotiations between Lionsgate and Matt Weiner, too.
(Love your kitten! So sweet!)
Thank you, sir madam or small child (to quote Daffy Duck), but they are my mother in law's kittens. But my wife will be delivering a kitten of our own at the end of April.
