January Jones

Just got my February copy of "Vanity Fair" and found an interesting article inside on January Jones. I must say, if Don Draper saw these pictures, he would never stray again!! She is certainly a beautiful woman, and I almost did not recognize her as the actress playing "our Betty." Once again she is compared to a Hitchcock blonde, while her Mad Men character is described as "uncorking a magnum of cool wrath.....emerging as the show's presiding enigma.....while inching along a hairline crack of hysteria." Yeah, that sounds like our girl!

The article also mentions an upcoming part in a movie called "The Boat That Rocked," along with Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branagh, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Bill Nighy. This movie is described as a comedy about a pirate radio ship. Ms. Jones said in the article that she is fighting becoming typecast as she keeps getting offered roles of "sadder, more neglected housewives." Believe me, she could not look less like a sad, neglected housewife in these VF pictures!

It is certainly interesting to read about the activities of our Mad Men favorites while we sit waiting for Season 3 or even a re-run of Seasons 1 and 2, she said with a despairing whimper.
