I've pictured Don Draper many ways, but never in his pajamas. ( O.K., there was that time when he wore the bottom and I wore the top, but that was MY daydream, and I wasn't focusing on just what kind of pjs they were.)

Are you sure he isn't asking for Pete's pajamas? Oddly enough, I DO remember those.

I will happily take Don Draper's pajamas, especially if they could be on a pile on the floor next to my bed :-)!!!

Speaking of pajamas, I'm snowed in watching movies this weekend and currently I'm watching "Love Actually." January Jones is in it -- she's one of the girls in the bar in Milwaukee, telling the newly arrived British guy that he's welcome to stay with her an her bombshell roommates, but "warning" him that none of them wear pajamas!!!!

Nancy, I love that movie and always try to watch it, BUT, I had no idea January Jones was in it! Now I will watch for her. Thanks!

The only time I remember him in his pj's was when he tripped on the stairs in S1 on Mothers Day carring that tray. Is that the episode your talking about? S2 he doesn't wear pj's too much, thank God!!! Tragically he also wears boxers. Harry wore briefs, in "The Wheel", I wonder how many times they shot that scene , lol.

OMG,eileen, after I posted Shopzilla advertised 3 pairs of pj's in the top right corner, too funny.

As for Don and his pj's, JC Penney should have some similar ones in their catalog or maybe even Ebay? Usually Ebay has stuff like that in the clothing section (vintage)....good luck.

Well, Eileen, you probably have been to Ebay by now but if not, I saw some "vintage Brooks Bros. men's pjs" a bit ago on there...but they were blue striped...don't recall Don in striped ones. They looked ok in the pic anyhow.

The seller was asking $45.

Weren't Don's all solid colored? Seems like he favors light blue solid broadcloth...?

He wore PJs in one of the episodes - my husband also requested a pair of these pjs so I made them from a Simplicity pattern. check it out on my blog:

That's great, Brandy, that you sewed up a pair of PJ's for your hubby from a pattern. How creative and cool. I just checked the pic out on your blog and you did a great job! And yes, they do "look like 1962" .

And in my post above I said I recalled Don D wore solids...in that pic on your blog, it's very plain that he's wearing blue striped ones. They look very similar to the ones on Ebay right now ($45 opening bid---none yet) that are supposedly "vintage Brooks Brothers".

No doubt some could be sewn a lot more economically but that fabric is probably high end if they did come from Brooks Bros. providing it hasn't weakened with age.

That made me remember I saw on Ebay some vintage Simplicity patterns that Eileen might be interested in. But...I can't imagine they'd be that different than the current patterns, actually...

(I once went to a dept store, men's wear, lookimg for a Christmas gift for my father in law.The salesman asked me what I was looking for and I said I want to see something in men's pajamas. "I'm sure you WOULD" he replied.)
