AMC is not scheduled to encore Season 2 in the near future. If they are no longer available OnDemand through your cable provider, they can still be purchased on iTunes.

Clayton, it says that there will be a marathon in the next week or so. (yeah I know, I just read when, this next weekend? but I am old enough to forget: short term memory loss.)
I am surviving on what's available on On Demand.

I checked Amazon yesterday. They are taking pre-orders for Season 2. No date on when the set will be released. I have pre-ordered from Amazon before and never had a problem.

I had a similar experience. I watched the first episode of Season 2 and loved it. I decided to watch Season 1 before continuing with Season 2. I was half-way through Season 1 when the episodes were pulled. I purchased the DVD, completed Season 1, to find out that episodes 1-8 of Season 2 were pulled!! I contacted AMC via phone, left a voice mail message, but have not heard from them. On the AMC website, the Season 2 DVD will be available in July 2009. I wish AMC would repeat the shows.

I am so bummed! I was in the same situation--having watched season 1 on DVD, I was stuck with no way to watch episodes 1-8 of season two. (Later episodes are available on demand.) Someone referred me to a website called Surf The Channel, where I happily found all the season two episodes. When I watched episode 1, it appeared that STC was sending me to Hulu, which seemed odd, because I couldn't find the full episodes on Hulu! But anyway, I watched and it was great--nice picture quality, etc. That was a few days ago. I just went back to try to watch ep. 2, and my experience was completely different. Now, rather than sending you to Hulu, they send you to Megavideo. The picture is squashed and poor quality, and it keeps stopping to buffer.I just found this blog while Googling "Mad Men marathon," hoping maybe AMC would be running one soon. (You would never know from their schedule, which is very unhelpful!) I guess my next step is to try purchasing on iTunes. I've never done that before though, and I am worried about picture quality. :\

With its second season, Matthew Weiner's Mad Men has at last become the show its biggest supporters have always made it out to be. Don't confuse things, I liked the show's first season, but only begrudgingly as it got on.
