Season Three
Any thoughts on how far the tim jump will be for Season Three? Maybe Five years to 1967?

The plan is for 5 seasons spaced 2 years apart, so look for 1964 next time around.
God I hope not! I want to bask in the comfort and class of the early sixties for awhile longer. I'll be satisified to re-join MadMen next season in 1964.
I can't imagine they wouldn't film an episode focusing on November 22, 1963, the day JFK was assassinated. It's one of those "where were you" days, like December 7, 1941 or 9/11. If it's not carried out in a hackneyed, contrived way, it could be quite effective. After all, we've had the references to Kennedy with the election (working with the Nixon election team), a reference to JFK and Marilyn Monroe, the failed Cuban invasion, and Jackie's White House restoration.
I do hope the series does not jump too far into the future too quickly. There are so many elements of the early 1960s that deserve attention, not just the huge historical events. Perhaps the late 60s were a more incendiary, flashy time, but so much attention has been paid to them - I hope we can linger in the early 60s a bit longer.
I am also hoping that Season 3 will start in 1963, and not jump many years ahead. Too much important history will be lost.
I know this isn't a historical show, but, I would like to see how real world events impact the MM characters.
I also hope they don't jump.....thinking 1963 will be a 'must' year for the show. Things are beginning to change in America however slowly, but so much happened in the first part of the decade.... I am not ready to move on either!!!! Love the early 60s!
My thought is that they won't jump forward but will go back and fill in the two years we're missing. The only problem with this is the childrens' ages and how to have them be younger again. Who knows! That's the fun of this show.
