Roger and Mona are married in real life
According to Internet Movie Data Base, www.imdb.com , John Slattery and Talia Balsam (daughter of Martin Balsam and Joyce Van Patten) were married in 1998 and are still together.
Poor Talia - her first husband was George Clooney.
Who knew?

I knew.... Why do you say "Poor Talia?"
Do you know what I know???
that's what I was wondering, why poor talia, because George is so famous now? Obviously not good marriage material. Cute and witty but has had more girl friends than I can count
Zerelda: I have it on good authority that he is what we think he is. Notice he never has a girlfriend. Oh sure, he pals around with some starlet for awhile, ensures her fame, then they "break up". I got this inside scoop from a general manager of a Vegas golf resort.
Poor Talia = sarcasm. GC is not exactly chopped liver - but he's not Hamm either.
The only thing I know about George is that he lends his celebrity to good causes and he's a great actor/director. He's easy on the eyes, but his personal life is of no interest to me.
I've always wondered about George, too, and I also wonder how major stars manage to keep their private lives ... so private.
On the one hand, a film star of George's caliber is really an investment for those who make his films (of which he is often one). It pays to protect investments and I imagine a lot of cash is spent in this effort. Right or wrong, some people will boycott films if they don't approve of a star's lifestyle. So, that's why even in these liberal times, film stars and everyone who stands to gain by their success has good reason to keep mum.
On the other hand, these people have enemies, too, so why don't more people talk? Often, what we see or speculate about isn't even close to reality.
Well, she sure goes for good looks in men. Glad her second choice was successful - they seem like a great couple together. Personally, I have always wondered about George Clooney - he is almost too good to be true, and yes, if you are wondering if I mean what you think I mean, that is exactly what I mean, even if it is mean.
Well, we aren't living in the golden age of Hollywood any more, so it is amazing to me that some people are still able to keep their personal lives hidden away, especially if they do not always have such a good relationship with the news media. But, if that is what he wants, I hope it continues to work for him.
Wow. Speculating on Clooney's sexuality. Times haven't changed much. Someone doesn't want to be married - must be gay. No wonder these actors cherish privacy.
The fact that his vaca home is in Italy might be of notice?
I never thought, nor cared about sexuality of George. But nOw, Okay!
Game on,
Lake Como? Anyone?
Everyone gets so upset here when someone says something (anything) about gays or blacks in the show, and yet some posters feel no qualms about making off-handed references to George Clooney's sexuality. Personally, I don't care if he is or he isn't gay, I just think it's a tad tacky to bring it up here and claim you got it from a reliable source that he is. I guess enquiring minds want (and NEED) to know! Sheesh!
If you don't care, then why do you care that I care? Nobody cares that Clooney's gay. We care that he's a big hypocrite about it... squiring starlets around, playing the alpha male in all his movies. He's the modern day version of Rock Hudson.
or Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise.... bwahhhhh! Good one!
I started this thread for the sole purpose of discussing that John and Talia are married - a fact that was unknown to me.
Unless you have personal sexual experience with any of the aforementioned actors on which you base your opinions, your postings are 'hearsay' aka: not admissible.
Actors act.
Since you ask, Mary Jane, yes, I knew Talia and John were married...I posted about it waaaaay back there sometime during Season 1 (I'm one of the fossils on this forum ICYDK)
As to GC being gay, well, whatever works for him is ok with me.
Another thing...I never thought about it before, but you know how GC always has groups of guys hanging out at this house?...makes one wonder. Again, nothing wrong with it if he IS gay...just makes sense now about all the "houseguests" is all.
