Music fortells the story

and he remains a stranger -- asks her name (again) but she remains a stranger. Love that song so much. Was it a jazzy "Blue Moon" that was playing when Betty first walked in and sat down at the bar?
And I'm soooo thrilled Bets had sex with a stranger! Now wasn't that soooo easy Bets? Her marriage to Don is freaky! I can't believe people are all gooey eyed over those two getting together again! Just for baby's sake, I hope. In 9 months, she can have sex with a stranger again! And who believes that letter Don wrote anyway? Or the careful crap he said at the stable. "I was disrespectful." NOT I was unfaithful. Geez, Don just wants to get his Draper persona back. He made some kind of "plan" in California and now we have to wait and see what it is. I'm just going to go on a bender til next season. Gimlet, anyone?
I didn't recognize the song that was playing when Betty first came into the bar but it could be significant. There is a theory that the music in the show is directly related to events that are about to happen. I will listen more carefully in the future.
Keith: The song was "Stranger on the Shore" by Aker Bilk. It was a hunting melody with sadly wistful lyrics and was a huge hit in 1962.
Make that "haunting" lyrics, not "hunting" lyrics. I used to play it over and over again on the piano. It was a great song. Yes, haunting lyrics!
