In Ep. 11, Jet Set, Is Don Threatening to Fire Pete?
In the preview did I hear Don say "...you want to be on vacation Pete? I can arrange that for you..." or am I mistaken? Don looked pretty fierce when he said this.

Don is always threatening to cut Pete loose.
Pete's there for the party. Don for the work. If Pete wants to party but not work, Don's willing to make it permanent.
Don should have got rid of Pete a lo-o-ong time ago.
I wish they will get rid of him. He is such an a**hole. If it wasn't for Roger keeping him there the first time he would have been fired. He seem to always try to dig in someone business. He alittle boy in the business. Get rid of him!
It was Bert who kept Pete on for being a Dykeman, not Roger.
Don needs to punch Pete's lights out and be done with that snivelin' turd!! Pete's been a pain in Don's hot ass for years and it's about time the little bitch-boy gets shown who's boss!
you're all correct, pete is a sniveling little pissant, but that part of what makes the show so good, and it also shows what a good actor vincent k. is!
Samg: You're right and I usually enjoy every minute Snivelin' Pete makes an apperance. Except for that weird hook-up with the blonde model. That was a bore.
Well, I am the first to admit I have favorites on this show - favorites to love and favorites to hate - but the actual disappearance from the show of the latter group would be seriously disappointing. All of these screwed up characters help keep this world of Mad Men endlessly fascinating. I am already seriously down about Freddie's departure, and I wouldn't mind seeing Midge and Rachel and Bobbie return occasionally. If Chauncey were to show up, I would be deliriously happy, but that is another subject entirely.
That was the thing that I hated about The Sopranos: the disappearance of characters I liked...and characters I liked to hate. I was hoping that Mad Men wouldn't go down that road, but it looks like that's not going to be the case.
I would totally miss that smarmy schmuck, Pete, if he were fired or 'offed'. Pete acts like an irritating foil or sidekick for Don at times, and I love them together (though I'd like to see more of the power struggle dynamic of last year instead of the pathetic, beaten down puppy dog this year). Pete needs to do more to try to usurp Don's throne and have it out with Peggy. When viewers have such a strong reaction to a character, positive or negative, it's a good sign, and they need to keep them around.
Zerelda, if Don is going to continue his cheating ways, I don't want to see him with Midge, Rachel or Bobbi (especially Bobbi). I want to see him cheat with new girls - like a different girl every few episodes. But still have him involved with Betty, too, because I like the two of them together.
Hi Maddicts! I couldn't believe Don was taking a trip any where with Pete the twit!
Don's been to hell and back so many times with Pete that I think Don has plenty of frequent flyer miles! Between the blackmail with Bert Cooper and the ambush with Duck, I think Pete's days are numbered. LOL Cheers. ;o)
Don just needs to unleash a fresh can of whoop-ass on Snivelin' Silver Foot!
