Duck too big for his own britches
I loved the part where Duck thinks he's going to reem
Don and pushed way to far, criticizing creative and not talking about the work for the clients. He made it all personal and it's going to come back and bite him in the ass. People come to Sterling Cooper because of Don and he cares about his clients. He's a salesman too but he felt so bad when he had to let go of the airline account and felt they should keep the loyal account they had instead of going for the glory of American
Mr Cooper caught and so did the British. can't wait to see next season, anybody have an idea when???

This was an amazing wrap-up.
First, Duck is going to become the President of Sterling Cooper. He's the kind of guy, ( and I have worked with a few), that has to TELL people that he's the one in charge.
In the words of a wise man., " if you have to tell them that you're in charge, you ain't".
Second, Pete has been promised that he will be Head of Accounts.
Will that still happen?
Third, Duck accuses Don of having a tantrum in the boardroom, revealing the jealousy he harbors toward Don.
When the bigwigs ask Duck to leave the room for a moment,
That was priceless. We all know where this is going.
And Pete...going into Don's office, prepared to yell at him, and then he finds himself receiving praise from Don for a job well-done.
The look on Pete's face was like a little boy making his father proud.
Great show!
Making Duck president of SC was just a token reward for bringing the deal together and not a deal breaker. Interesting how Don's lack of contract was never brought up by either Bert or Roger and that card was played masterfully by Don.
It was obvious that the Brits knew who the better man was and I think that Don will be made president OR, and this is the better storyline, Don will start up his own shop with his proceeds from the sale. It would be interesting to see who would go with him...probably Sal and Paul for sure, but I think Pete would go along as well. While I'd like to think that Peggy would go along, she'd stay behind until it was clear that the glass ceiling was back in place under the new management. I bet Don would find a place for Freddy in his own shop, too.
Interesting that Duck wants to control Don but doesn't want him to quit. He knows they need him just as much as anyone else, he just want him to answer to someone. Don wouldn't answer to him reguardless. He's a fool.
Ooh, and i hope Mr. Chetfeild will be visiting the states alot.
Ya know,..your temper can ruin your life, and I think Duck just may have found that out! He surely has burned his bridges with Sterling Cooper now! No way can he fix what he has done, changing sides like that.And,..the merger isnt finallized yet, nothing was actually signed. So alienating Don as he did in the board room was a massively bad idea. Duck showed in that moment his real feelings for Don,and let the new owners see what kind of a person he really was. Bad form,my friends,..bad form.I cant wait to see what Duck does now,and what Don does.
Duck reminds me of another of Mark Moses' characters, Lt. Wolfe from "Platoon". Both men think they are great leaders, but in truth their men laugh at them behind their back and they have no respect at all for him.
I loved it when Don told Duck he didn't have a contract with Sterling Cooper. And the Brits tell Roger and Cooper that Duck "never could hold his liquor." Can't wait for that story line in season 3.
