Did anyone see the Mad Men characters on Jeopardy?

I just watched the show and saw Don, Pete, Joan and Peggy on the show. Alex Trebec mentioned that the last show of the season. Hope this gets more people to watch!

He just gave the date of the last show of the season which is Sunday, October 26th.

Yes, I watched it! The topic was "advertising on Mad Men". Each actor introduced himself and then gave the clue.

Jon Hamm was first - sorry, I can't remember the whole clue - but the answer was Kodak.

I think Christina (Joan) was next - that answer was Xerox.

Vincent (Pete) was next - the answer was

Elizabeth (Peggy) was next -

Jon again - the answer was Tobacco

Sorry, I'm having a senior moment and CRS...
does anyone else remember the other two answers?
wasthere is correct, Alex just mentioned the date of the last show, not much else.

Pete/Vincent - Bethlehem Steel

Peggy/Elizabeth - Clearisil

Don/Jon - Lucky Strike/cigarettes

Damn, I planned to watch it and then remembered it too late. Maybe it will be on Youtube? Was everyone lookin' good? I bet they were.

user-pic

Do you remember what Trebec said?

user-pic

Oh. Thanks.

I don't know why, I started a new topic, "MadMen Book Club" and it comes up empty as not being found. Started it again, STILL CAN'T GET ON - PAGE IS NOT FOUND. I guess this means I should let go of this idea, since I can neither open the topic or post a comment. Darn! Don't know why I'm having that trouble - can still post on other or even new topics, not the book club one today.

"Mad Men" on Jeopardy? Not only did several of the show's stars give the "questions", the "answers" real products but Alex Trebek even announced the date of the last show of the season.

Now THAT'S product placement.

......Well, I can't get on there either, jamm. I've been trying to keep a list (too bad I didn't start it sooner) of various books, movies, poems, and even songs from the series.

These would all be works meaningful to Matt and the writers, and I thought it might enhance the whole experience. Plus, what else are we going to do for six months?

By the way, is anyone else a little irked over such a long period between seasons? I mean, it's just abusive! I didn't like it in my favorite HBO, etc., series before this, and now it's even worse.

I might actually have to work and be productive. Somebody save me!!

What about Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged, and The Fountainhead, and Sylvia Plath, Ariel...

I am sure the list would go on and on.... these are great.

Dry Manhattan: I was just trying to stick to stuff copyrighted in the 1960's or the movie versions or what characters read. If you could post the book club topic, then I could plug my list in again. I CANNOT seem to post the topic, I don't know why. Yet, I can respond and make comments on other topics. That's why the 9 zillion postings of the book club topic. Want to give it a shot?

Another book, "Revolutionary Road" by Richard Yates (published 1961), has MANY parallels to Mad Men.
