BEST SHOW OF THE SEASON TO BAD THEY ALL WERN'T THAT GOOD!
Finally, an episode that made sense, and was engaging for the entire hour....wish they had all been that way.

i was disappointed in the first couple of episodes because they were mostly about the family problems and nothing to significant but I thought it got more and more interesting as the season went on. The one where Don buys the Cadillac was all about how the 60s' began for many Americans the time of more material things than we need and trash
Then the one where Don went to see Peggy, very powerful he was sharing with her some of his own experience and how you had to fight as had as you had to to get where you wanted to be and not be dragged down. They have such different values but it was amazing to see how they bonded and Peggy is actually a very complex person herself in that she doesn't judge people
The only episode I didn't like too much was Jet Set. All the other ones were brilliant. I agree with Gracy though, it did get better as the season went on.
MY ONLY COMMENT IS REALLY A HOPE; that this show remains in the 60's. There is so much to tell from that extemely radical time in our history. Having lived it as a 20 year old, the show is so spot on. Please do not move this time frame of the 60's too fast. The 70's and forward are anti-climatic in comparison and seem to turn darker and darker in retrospect to those changing 60's.
thanks for a truly correct and thought provoking show.
one request? more about the products of that time and how they were 'sold' to us. (ie. playtex bra etc.)
My one hope for this show is that they redeem Don soon. I stopped watching for a while because of that, but I did come back. He's just been a bit too unsavory,as I stated in another post. He is what drew me to the show, but jeez,..he is a cheater,as most of the men of the show are, calls Betty
'desperate'because she put on a skimpy little thing to entice him,and other things. They also need to flesh out the secretaries a bit more, besides Peggy.
As to the post above, about how the 70's were darker, hmm.I dont know that I would agree. I was in my 20's during the 70's,and loved that decade more than any other time in my life.I thought it was freer than the 60's,though that era had opened it up for us.The 70s were pretty much past all the riots about race, and things like that.We had music,
California beaches, and a lot of fun.Still,I too hope they keep this show in the 60s.It wouldnt work right otherwise.
