Will Chauncey find a home and where will it be?

I know some posters have said that there is an overreaction to Duck putting his dog out, but it really seems to bug a lot of people. We didn't hear screeching tires and a yelping dog, so he's still out there on the streets of NY. I'm guessing that Pete finds him on the street and then brings him home to Trudy to help her get over not having a baby. Just a guess. Anyone want to speculate?

That part where Duck turns the dog out was not long after he and Pete talked about getting an "office dog" (!) wasn't it?-- so I don't understand why Duck didn't just offer Chauncey to Pete right then if he was going to unload him---it would have beat turning the poor critter out on the streets...Pete could then have done as you say, Swanky K, and brought him home to Trudy. If he loved the dog so much (he acted like he did) how could he just abandon him like that?

One more reason to despise Duck! What an ass. Poor doggie. Duck is having a meltdown, of sorts. What? Did he want to have a drink and the dog was telling him not to? Hope he gets the boot. He's worthless.

I actually fell asleep for a few minutes and did not see Duck put the dog out. I'm glad I didn't. As a dog lover, I would have been very upset. I don't watch any movies or shows that might show an animal in a bad situation. Can't handle it. Also, even though I didn't see it, the whole idea seems to serve no purpose whatsoever. This is the first time I've felt a storyline was not connected to anything and could easily have been left out. What was the point? I was going to re watch it tomorrow to see the parts I missed but will not do so now. Also first time I've felt annoyed by the script although I could definitely live without Bobbie and her husband. I think Don is beginning to hate himself.

If Pete finds Chauncey and takes him home, I will finally like Pete. Duck, you are dead to me.

Maybe the elevator operator or one of the secretaries will recognize the dog and retrieve him, thinking he's slipped his leash and will bring him back to Duck. Either Duck will have a change of heart or tell the finder to keep him.

Duck doesn't deserve to have a beautiful dog like Chauncey...I think he should be with Joan, two "redheads" made for each other. She needs an actual "pet"...that dumb bird Roger gave her (to signify he thought of her as his "bird in a gilded cage"?) doesn't qualify.
